Part 7 - EASTER SUNDAY -NO FOOD OR WATER 10-11TH DAYS- SHE'S FIGHTING TO LIVE [Schiavo]
Continuing thread ^ | 03/27/05 | various

After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.

Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.

Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.

The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.

You and I are on the same page. When I called the Republican Party, Governor Bush and President Bush, I told them that God's laws are above man's laws, but actually they wouldn't be breaking man's laws, either; they would be protecting the Constitution.

I totally agree wth you about Sensenbrenner. He has a very good district to represent. He is not flashy but he is a good listener and he reminds me a lot of our former Governor Tommy Thompson the former Secretary of Heatlh and Human Services. Good salt of the earth level headed, nose to the grind stone Wisconsinites.

I just read the John Adams bio that was so big a few years ago...WHAT A MAN! WHAT A PATRIOT! And Abigail was an amazing woman given the times when women's views weren't highly regarded. She'd have made a GREAT President.

Lord, we lift Terri up to you and ask you to keep her organs functioning. Influence the minds and hearts of the legislatures, Lord. Our eyes are upon YOU...not upon them, and we know that the Lord of the Universe will do that which is right. Receive Glory, Most High. In Jesus name.

Green Mountain Boys

One of my grandfathers (can't remember how far back at the moment...I've got it in my geneology program) was a Green Mountain Boy, I understand! : )

Another was a Captain in the Revolution; I have downloaded copies from the Presidential Archives of two of his letters sent to General George Washington.

Patriotism and right against wrong is in my genes! : )

I don't want to hear another word from the "conservatives" about how the people praying for Terri outside the hospice are harming the "cause"

Those 2 abortion promoters are the face of the enemy, not the people praying for life!

That is so COOL! Harumph. My great-grandfather was an English army deserter. But he turned out pretty good in the end. I'd still rather have YOUR family background! ;-)

"A guest at my mother's house over Easter said, "So what if she said "I waaaaaa" when they told her to say she wants to live? That was just random gutteral noise."

People listen to the MSM and that is where they get this BS, but the thing is that no one knows for sure, so in that case, life should be what they err on the side of...they just don't get it...or want to get it

Yes. I'm a big fan of Mr. Adams. He's the most underrated person in our country's history. We wouldn't be at all if not for him.

Yep. I'd say Mr. Adams was TRULY the father of our country. Ironically, he only served one term as President before he was defeated by Mr. Jefferson.

More dangerous NOT to in my humble opinion.

Come on if she can swallow her saliva she could swallow small sips of water or any other liquid. And what about the nurses statements that they FED her?

Did you know that Adams and Jefferson, once friends, then bitter rivals, then friends again both died on July 4th... 50 years to the day of the signing of the Declaration of Independence?

Yes, indeed. And Adams' last (erroneous) words were: Jefferson still lives. Jefferson had actually passed away a few hours earlier. The Lord had them die on July 4th...in fact, both of them CLUNG to life in order to see July 4th come in.

Adams' letters to Jefferson after they mended their personal fences are wonderful. They really loved one another despite the bitterness of the presidential campaign years, although it took them fourteen years to speak again. Sad.

I'm sorry for the departure.
