After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
That would be great!

This whole thing is now in God's hands...and He will keep Terri alive if it is what He wants (so far, it sure seems to be what he wants!!). Don't look to men now for the answers, look to God.
He doesn't "get it". Truly he doesn't. If I bet, I would bet you, but I don't bet. He and Jeb actually believe in the system, even when it is wrong. They don't understand yet what we are facing, even way beyond the horror being done to Terri:

Well, if that is the case you might as well start killing off most of the disabled! Geez, my husbands grandfather is in a Nursing Home and has to be fed by a nurse since he is so weak. I think they just need to kill him and get it over with so he can die! that would be merciful and just, don't ya think?
I have an idea the cameras got Jesse there. But everyday this stays in the news more eyes will be opened, so more power to him.
Maybe Greer allowed this to happen to a white woman, but it's not a white problem, it's everybody's problem.
This is coming to all our states and towns if it's not stopped.

Yes, Lord, we pray for a miraculous unity within the FL Congress and Governor TODAY, Lord ... that they would work swiftly and efficiently and with clarity of mind to pass legislation that would save Terri AND that will pass the eventual scrutiny of the FL Supreme Court.
We want it to happen today, Lord, but however long it takes we know that You are able to preserve her life for as long as it takes to take man, who is imperfect, to get their act together. We ask you to do just that: perserve her life, protect her organs from damage, and keep her comfortable and at peace.
We pray this in JESUS' NAME AND FOR HIS GLORY. Amen.
I'm glad she went. Terri's plight tears my guts out. Both. At the same time.
When these people talking about euthanasia being a mercy killing, they're not talking about it being merciful to the one suffering...they're talking about letting family members who don't want to be bothered off the hook. The "mercy" in most euthanasia cases is "mercy" towards the selfish creatures who want to be rid of their obligations.
I was responding to awestruck, who said that even if the Fl Legislature passed something, Greer would ignore it. I was agreeing with awestruck.

Meanwhile, Jesse Jackson is at Hospice Woodside right now to comfort the Schindlers. He is lobbying at the Federal and State level to try to save Terri. Thank you, Jesse Jackson and Bush boys, PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!! I don't hate you but I am getting wobbly on the GOP.
Polly, I just heard on the news, that Jesse is pleading with the FL Senate to change whatever wording they need to get the 3 hesitant Senators to change their minds.
Just keep praying. Perhaps our efforts now are best spent by praying for them, rather than calling. They already know what we want from them.

My son was born at 32 weeks and had a feeding tube. According to the death-ghouls, he should have been "allowed" to die. I was actually told that his "quality of life" possibly wouldn't be very good so why should I "take the chance", rack up hospital bills, etc.
Needless to say, he'll be 5 years old soon. He was reading at age 3, and today, reads at a 4th grade level. He has not one thing physically or mentally wrong with him (though, he can be a clutz sometimes, but I suspect that he got that from me. :))
Yeah, his "quality of life" turned out to be something really awful, didn't it?

Here's where the confusion came from earlier, when there was mention of Glenn Beck's radio program, and the false info that Terri had died.
Glenn Beck was reading from a CBS (no surprise there) article that she died today.

She is not free to come to Florida. She does not act apart from her husband in such matters, and her husband does not truly understand the stakes in this matter, and the total evil that is coming upon our society through the death judges. Both men have been raised to have faith in the American system, and to believe in following judicial orders, even when they are wrong. By the time George and Jeb truly get it, we might have all fallen victim to this evil, not just Terri.
We have the first arrest at Hospice Woodside by TAZER. FIRST TAZER. Insurgents armed with water... Terri needs water. They bring TAZERS instead.
''Without food or water for 12 days, there are vital signs she is being starved to death,'' Jackson said. ``She is being dehydrated to death and that is inhumane. It is immoral and unnecessary. There is no rational reason for this to happen.''
Jackson said he has been on the phone to members of the Florida Senate, asking them ``to be creative and craft some emergency legislation . . . to stop the starving, stop the dehydration.''
He said he also has called the office of Gov. Jeb Bush. ''He needs to get back to us,'' Jackson said.
