When these people talking about euthanasia being a mercy killing, they're not talking about it being merciful to the one suffering...they're talking about letting family members who don't want to be bothered off the hook. The "mercy" in most euthanasia cases is "mercy" towards the selfish creatures who want to be rid of their obligations.

Exactly! My mom lives to take care of her parents. My grandparents both live on my parents land. They are both in their 80's and both not well and crippled! My mom takes them to all doc appts, cooks for them all the time, etc... She rarely gets a break! Yes it is s burden to my mother, but that is her joy! Felos believes that the merciful thing to do would be to end their life so my mother would be free of the burden. How sick and twisted is this? Might as well start offing all the elderly!
