After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.

Well, if you believe the polls, this is not a popular stand on the issue for Jackson. Our "leaders" have abandoned Terri and her plight because of the polls. So, kudos to a man who obviously has a consience and isn't afraid of popular opinion.

TwF, the Congress labored mightily and gave birth to...exactly nothing, before the President signed it and before the Federal Courts ignored it. Before that Congress subpoenaed Terri and Michael and the hospice administrators, but now the hearing behind the subpoena has been cancelled and all have gone home(so I read) or scattered to the four winds. Delay? Hero of the Right. Sensenbrenner? Santorum, who said, she won't be starved on my watch?
Look at even the best of those in the system, if you are "irritated" at the Bushes, in the Legislature. Look at Jim King and the FL Senators. Look at them ALL. Except for King, who is an open Euthanasia advocate it would appear, the others including George and Jeb, don't seem to get it...yet.
This is my opinion which I covered in posts #1651 and 1693.

Fox just reported that he is in the hospital but did not say he has suffered another heart attack. Pray for him anyway, but I am hoping he did not suffer another one.

This statement by Jeb is astounding to me.
The State police *were on their way* to hospice to remove Terri, before they were ordered to stand down.
Going HALFWAY to hospice was the right thing????

Good news, no heart attack for Falwell, but they are not sure why he is in the hospital.
I am so encouraged, for only God could have touched his heart in this case!
He garners lots of publicity, and can do a lot of arm twisting. I wish he was here last week! But, I praise God that he is here now!
Who would ever think that Terri could be saved by the most hated enemy of the republicans!
Thank you heavenly Father for keeping Terri alive this long. Thank you for touching so many lives. I pray that you would be glorified in this; in Jesus Name I pray. Amen
IMO, the President acted appropriately with regard to Terri. GWB even flew back to sign the bill from Congress.
Good heavens, no heart attack is sure a big difference from massive heart attack! Praying.

Heavenly Father,
I just heard Bobby Schindler on Glenn Beck's program saying that they are working at getting emergency legislation passed today in FL to save Terri.
Father God, we pray that if it be Your will, that You will speak to the hearts of these legislatures. Soften their hearts, Lord, and give them an urgency they've never felt before to work quickly and in unity to save this precious woman's life who is fighting so hard to live.
We thank You for Jesse Jackson's support for what is right, and ask that You work through this unlikely person to save Terri also.
Lord, it's a miracle that Terri has held on this long, and so we come before You expecting more miracles that will show that YOU are in control, and we know that YOU will get all the glory, not man.
We ask You to preserve Terri's life Lord; give her food and drink that we know not of. Just as you preserved Moses' life for 40 days and 40 nights without food or water, we ask that you preserve Terri's life as long as is needed until she can receive nourishment and hydration once again.
We thank You and praise You and ask all this in JESUS' NAME, and for His glory, Amen.
It was a good start. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, however.
Sad case. Sad man. I had expected more of him. I was truly impressed when I met him many years ago when he was an unknown, when his Dad was president. I thought he would go far. He did but he seems to have squandered his moment to stand up for courage. He struck out royally when the game was tied, the bases were loaded, but there were two outs.
In fact, I think a conservative book publisher should publish books entitled "My Moral Fortitude, by Jeb Bush". Only all the pages would be blank white paper. I would hand those out at Pro-Life conventions, too.

Wouldn't Greer and his flunkies just ignore whatever FLorida senators can do? Just like they did congress? As a matter of fact, Greer was quoted as ordering Bush and DCF not to "enforce state statutes"
