After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
It is hard to imagine a disgruntled Republican angry at the murder of Terri going Democrat in 2006 or 2008. But when people are so outraged, they may strike out blindly to punish the GOP.
Goodnight! Kind of early though isn't it?
I remarked on another thread that that's what a girl says when she is turning down a date. :o)
I meant Rush.
Since we are all terminal, maybe we'd all better just have our
feeding tubes removed.
Thanks sinkspur.
Really nice.
Lots of people on this thread that has run continuously for many months hurt to our very cores for Terri and her parents and siblings.
Most of us believe that Terri is so precious and deserving of a loving place in which to thrive, to the best of her ability.
We believe there is tremendous evidence pointing to michael schiavo as a violent, horrific human being who is lying about Terri's wish to be starved and dehydrated until she becomes a virtual shell without fluid, pumped into a coma by morphine and let down by a rule of law that never once allowed for a serious investigation of her treatment by her husband.
If you find us looney, if you find us silly or skip over the prayers we share as we petition our Father, why would you even drop into our room but for the purpose of sticking your witty knife into already aching hearts and souls.
Don't get it.
Needing attention that much would seem to point to you as the one with a 'mental' situation.
Go play on a thread that will appreciate your mocking tone.
but we have to work with the system."

That's true and the problem. The system is corrupt. The system is based maintence of status quo for Principality's and Power's. If you want to keep a job you have to go along to get along to get paid. You have to look the otherway in the face of obvious wrong in our corrupt system because if you rock the boat you'll be ostracized like a crazy freek. This is the case with Terri. Everyone knows it's wrong, but the PTB see it as some sacrifices are necessary for the maintance of the status quo. They see her as a small price to pay because, well she's a nobody. They are so vicious about it, that they are labeling anyone who fights for her cause as a marginalized pro-life zealot. The Repulican Party will not miss the 'few' Terri fighters, after all were else can they go. All man's systems are corrupt because corrupt men run them.
This Congressional system is particularly vicious, they had it figured out after they put their blood wet fingers to the wind. They issued a supeona for this girl dated for a time that they knew they would not be there. Rev. Mahoney looked lonely (with his few demonstrators) and ostrasized standing in the rain yelling his knowledge about law's for answering a supeona issued for 'dead' Terri which had been nulified-duh.. They are a sick bunch..
good night, tutstar....God bless you.
pollywog, your prayers are so heartfelt....my husband just got into a wreck. He's ok, but the family that were in the other car aren't. The car was totaled and the mom is pregnant. They had three little ones with them. We went to the hospital to check on them, but they won't let us know anything. Could you say a prayer for them? I don't know their names, but God does.
Oh, yeah!
People still remember Mary Jo Kopechne, don't they?
I do not see much difference between this and the mother behind bars made to watch her baby starve to death just beyond her reach. We thought Sadam was bad.....Here we thought we had terrorists to worry about when in fact, it was really our neighbors, friends, and relatives.......May God have mercy on us all.
Hear the passion there. Uh, work on the style.
OMG....I just heard that someone said that here, in NY today.
They were saying Terri's been in a bed for 15 years. Let someone else have it.
I'm sickened by this.
Actually, he felt he had to take it to court AFTER Greer issued the order. Jeb shouldn't have tipped his hand the day before the DFC tried to get Terri. He really fouled up all around, and yes, got himself into this position. And won't take steps to get himself out of it.
I just told a friend who moved down to FL that I wasn't trying to be obnoxious, but I probably will never visit her there. I told her I was too afraid, which I didn't mind admitting in the least.
And, also, we have to get the Republican Party to stop backing pro-death people. Don't they have a pro-life platform?
For anyone that didn't see it, National Republican Party # is 202-863-8500.
If anyone wishes to call now, they can leave a message on their answering machine. If their comment line is full, just press another number.
Personally, I will stay a registered Republican, so I can vote for pro-life candidates in the primaries, but NO MORE MONEY from my husband and me. If they don't respect us, perhaps they will respect our money (or lack of money).
There was an article posted on FR about that and it has also been reported on FOX NEWS!!!!
It's been tough. Good night tutstar.
