Selective recitation of evidence on your part. You overlook Terri's prescient statements to Scott and Joan. You accept the unsupported allegations of an ex-girlfriend of Michael's who definitely has an ax to grind and has never been examined under oath. Ample evidence supports Judge Greer's finding of clear and convincing evidence of Terri's wishes.
You simply disagree with the result and probably don't think anyone's wishes to be released from this physical life should be honored.

However, why vote for people who don't stand up to that evil. If the Republicans, including President Bush really takes on the judicial Branch and fights the culture of death I'll come back, but not until then.
I don't think we have yet fully digested the harm that has been done to the notion of separation of powers. As I pointed out in another post, I do not feel his blinking when the chips were down should cost him his governorship, but I certainly don't want him in a higher office where he might have to take a stand, all alone and by himself to put another branch of government in its place. Compare this to how his big brother responded when they told his secret service escort that they couldn't enter the banquet hall with the President. No where near the same situation, but if he wasn't willing to follow it through he should have never opened his mouth. He told us he had the power, and he even had his legal counsel read us the statue. He didn't say "I am going to do this UNLESS the judge tells me not to." He allowed a minor league judge tell him not to uphold the law and his oath and as soon as the judge said how things were going to be that was it.

Why do you suppose the U.S. Supreme Court, including Thomas and Scalia, refused to hear this case?
I think President Bush will attempt to nominate the "right" judges; whether they'll be approved by the Senate is another question.
Personally I just wish he'd close the borders and balance the budget.
You know people get feeding tubes disconnected and ventilators turned off every single day; it's just usually not this high profile.

I believe that there are many unanswered questions.
This being the case, I am astounded that this poor woman is being starved to death.
I presume that we both have heard the arguments. For myself, I feel confident that I could hold my own against those who want Terri Schiavo to die. The crux of this argument is that no one knows what her wishes were/are and that she has loving parents who want to see her live and will take care of her.
When she dies, a hard rain is going to fall. She will not have died in vain. As a fellow Tennessean, I can assure you of that.
I think if He were not ready for her to come to Him, he'd have found some way to soften at least one judge's heart so that a stay could be granted.
And that might yet happen.
But it could be that it's finally time for her to come home, as she would probably have done 15 years ago without today's advanced medical technology.
Its high profile because the culture of death has made a landmark case. They keep on harping its a "Right to Die" issue. They will use Terri's murder as a "victory" for the "Right to Die" The Republicans will say "Well we could not save Terri because of the LAW". This mindset by the Republicans will magnify their "victory" That's what the "Good" Germans said when the Nazis ruled. This "right to Die victory" will propel the Eugenics, Abortions movement. The genie is out of the bottle if Terri is allowed to die.

Any law that permit straving a helpless women to death is an illegal immoral law that carries no wieght. This was established beyound any doubt at Nurenburg Germany in 1946.
Just because something is in God's plan doesn't mean it has to be good.
It will ultimately serve some good, but the event itself will not be always good in itself (Sept. 11, for instance).
But, God is sovereign. Whatever he wants gets done.
That does not mean we sit back and never fight for what is right. But, sometimes He allows evil to trample over the good to serve his mysterious purposes that are greater than we can understand. One way or another though, he will bring good from this case.
