so where does this stand now?

I am unclear as to the reason of the hearing before Judge Death.

Did he essentailly say DCF could not go in?

How much does dad love his daughter?

I would do that.

Frankly, in this case, if I were her father (and I am NOT organizing or advocating any violence), I would feel it would be morally justified...

Actually, my pug (and best friend) is from Hastings, NE. Nebraska and Iowa are some of my favorite areas of the US. They're a place where you really feel the heart of America, not like the major cities.

I hope it never comes to that - but Canada is getting uglier by the day.

Not in this country, they don't.

Fine, grab a gun

No, we're talking about a swarm of people to overwhelm (peacefully) the people trying to kill her. Just insistent on doing what's right, not harming those who stand in their way. Getting arrested en masse for trying to save. That IS a plausible course of action. It worked for Ghandi. However you have to find people that can tolerate a little discomfort for said cause.

What I am saying is called defending ones child from Murder.

Eichmann never pulled a trigger, like Greer he was a mid level bureaucrat, a funtionary......But what he particiapted in was murder none the less. And it was the Law of the Land in the Land at the time.....

Not in this country, they don't.

They do in every country. But we don't escape the ramifications of breaking men's laws.

Has anyone thought that God wants to take Terri home once and for all. Maybe she suffers daily abuse (verbal or otherwise) from her husband. In the end God's will, will be done. Maybe that will is to have her home.

That makes no sense. The State, Man, not God is murdering Terri. Your rational makes the case for the "right to die" movement.

Has anyone considered maybe it is Terri's time to go? The Father is calling her to sit at his right hand. She will be saved, and Terri will live, eternally.

I've also though about this. However, be prepared for some hateful, flamed responses by some on this board.

The tyranny of the judiciary did not happen overnight; it has been growing for many a long year now, unopposed, and it's not going to be undone in a day. The Bushes would end up impeached and/or in jail for what you are suggesting, the country would be torn apart, and our enemies would strike.

The fight lies with us. It is time for Americans to do everything possible to shake this judicial tyrant off our backs. But the day after Terri dies, everybody is going to forget this, and it will be back to judicial tyranny as usual. Next stop, gay "marriage" imposed on all the states, euthanasia for infants that survive abortions, the removal of all (Christian and Jewish) religious symbols not only from public buildings but from view, etc.

You hit the nail on the head. There is no direct blame to cast upon Jeb or George Bush here...it runs much deeper than that. Jeb and George Bush, and most of the spineless Republicans we put into office, are a function of what most Republican voters decided to settle for. You would think that in the midst of the T. Shavio situation, our "pro-life" Republican "representatives" in the Senate would have a renewed sense of duty in finally getting the presidents judicial nominees passed, seeing as liberal judical tyranny has reared its ugly for all to see. But no...that's not happening, not now, and not after everyone forgets about Terri Schiavo. What happening now is a direct result of voting party instead of principle IMHO. Funny how some people turn the "principle" and "Constitution" switch on when its most convienent or when its an "emotional" issue for someone...like alot of the drama queen posters on the Terri Sciavo threads...G'damn hypocrits. I guess there is a price to pay for voting for gutless RINO's, who won't stand up to injustices and perversions of the Constitution. What we're observing right now is a good case study. (Bots and neo-con nazis take note)

Its way past due to clean house in the Republican party; or just assume that ALL our elected officials don't give a rats ass about representing WE the People, are impossible to be held accountable, and support judges legislating from the bench.

I pray that through all this, Terri Schiavo rests in peace, and that somehow, some good could come from this.

It sure has been weeping. I woke up to snow that went to rain...

You haven't fished until you've caught a big speckled trout at sunrise looking out over water that goes on forever.

Catching a chinook that way is also about as much fun.

Steelhead, I believe, is as close to the experience as you will get inland....

Robert Destro said on FNC that advocates for Terri are going back to court to argue that the Judge's ruling (I'm not sure which one) is unconstitutional because it is based on the pronouncement that Terri is PVS. There is medical despute about her being in PVS and therefore he has no ground on which to stand.
Hearing tonight at 6PM in front of Judge Whittemore to look at the standard of law that Greer used.

It's over.

Those condemning Jeb Bush for not intervening seem to think that if he did so, Terri would be fed perpetually, when I believe the whole case would have to be presented again. What makes anyone think the courts would decide otherwise?

It's done.

More nonsense. Judicial decisions get overturned all the time. That's what appellate courts do, if they have a legal reason to do it.

Then you explain why none of the other judges looking at the case did a review of the evidence and just accepted Greer's "facts".

It is too bad that a few private citizens can't take Judge Greer into custody. I'm sure today that you would not have ANY trouble finding a few THOUSAND "experts" that would agree that the "Judge" is BRAIN DEAD. Then we could watch him starve.
IMHO Terri Schiavo in her condition has infinitely more humanity than that WPOS Greer!

Destro on Fox are appealling to SupFL. Based on a constitutional argument, he sounded pretty confident and frankly I feel better having him in charge now.

Ok well lets see what Jeb Bush will do.There are plenty of us out here who will support the Gov. if he simply obeys the law and goes in and rescues Ms. Schiavo. We need strong leaders and the Bush brothers have to date been strong leaders who do what is right, not what is easy. If he acts we all need to support him. Our prayers and hopes are with you Governor Bush and President Bush.

Whatsoever you do for the least of these, you do it unto me.

Rick
