Has anyone thought that God wants to take Terri home once and for all. Maybe she suffers daily abuse (verbal or otherwise) from her husband. In the end God's will, will be done. Maybe that will is to have her home.

Rush didn't want to talk about Terri at all. He would have been content to let her die without a word from him. He was pretty much forced by his listeners to speak up.

"The only ice here is in my drink .... wade fishing in Galveston Bay starts in about 3 weeks. The surf is up to 68 degrees and warming fast."

Yah, but you don't have muskies to fish for. Or walleyes, either. Neener, neener, neener.

I suppose every judge in the case is activist?

Nope. Just the Judicial "Good Ol' Boy" network. No judge wants to overturn another judge out of fear someone might challenge their own infallible genius someday.

I mean, whats one life when compared to something that important?

Yes, but 30,000 people with water bottles in a line would make one hell of a statement.

True! I've thought of that. How could they stop hundreds or thousands of people who went in, carrying water, at the same time? They couldn't even arrest more than a handful.

The law as it is set up defintely allowed this to happen. That's where the activists who want things to be different need to focus on when this is over.

Ignoring the court order is an impeachable offense

G-D forbid he lose his job. So we really think people will have more guts to impeach Bush than to stand up for an innocent woman?

Would you do the same with Oxygen for the thousands of people that are surviving on breathing ventilator life support?

What happens when the patient has been unresponsive for years, has no living will, but mentioned to a loved one in the past that they don't want to live mechanically?

It is also a form of conditioning - the next case will go over much easier if the population takes the Terri Case as a regrettable but necessary precedent.

You are so right. This is exactly what it's all about for the left, a test case. Terri's nightmare will be cited in the very near future of how not to kill someone, but oh how much more humanely it can be accomplished with this little vial of poison that "puts them to sleep."

Florida is filled with old folks -- they should be marching and wheeling themselves in droves through the hospice doors, for what this portends for them. There but for the grace of God...

It seems to me the parents need to start shifting the focus to a wrongful death suit against Shiavo, Felos, and Greer. Felos was previously a board member of the very hospice where she's dying. Felos and his attorneys are huge campaign contributors to Greer. Greer has consistently ruled for death, even against a woman currently trying to prevent the state from pulling her husband's plug. Hopefully they can use the discovery phase of the civil suit to unearth the details of the shady connections everyone knows are there, but have never been coherently articulated.

Jeb does have the potential to redeem himself, but he must act. If he demonstrates the political courage to force a constitutional show-down between the executive and judiciary he will regain my faith and confidence. Washing his hands and preconcluding that a back water judge can order death and later demand that the executive branch stand down and selectively not enforce laws is completely unacceptable.

I can "hang in there" longer than Terri.

Christian laws supersede man-made laws.

Besides the President and Governor have an army of Christians soldiers and the people (95% Christians) to defend their actions.

On we go Christian soldiers! An invisible army yet and invincible one.

Not to worry, if Canada goes nuts, you can come here. To Nebraska, we would be honored to help. I'm not usually given to tin foil hat theories, but the past several years, I have had an uneasy feeling about where our country is headed. We are quietly prepared.
Pastor Neimoller's famous quote means a great deal to my family. My husband's mom was Jewish; he and our children would have met Hitler's test. So anyway, you'd be welcome in the Neborg!

THE JUDGES RELIED ON GREER'S CORRUPT COURT. They did not do independent rulings. The 22 judges mean nothing.

The President [note the capitalization] can do no such thing. He can only write executive orders dealing with Executive departments of the Federal Government. He can't write executive orders having to do with state matters."

You may be right about this. I wish he could pardon her...ya know...like real criminals who are imprisoned can be pardoned...

This whole thing is comletely messed up.

You are WRONG!! What about the Emancipation Proclamation. That was an Executive Order.

If this is so grandly important to humankind, the US, and morality in general, why aren't there more protesters?

And I am not by any stretch, referring to just Floridians. If people believe half of what they have been posting why aren't they selling things, pawning things, withdrawing money from their accounts, taking time off instead of using it for their vacation and hitchhiking, flying, driving, carpooling down to Pinellas Park?

This is the alternate edge of the sword as far as a web format goes. It's too easy to complain by typing into a keyboard. Terry appreciated your keystrokes, I am sure, now, off to lunch, or down the hall for a soda, etc.

I understand why the folks that are killing her are doing so. I cannot understand the unwillingness of those who say they care not doing anything truly meaningful. Calls, emails, letters, and rants don't count. That's for other things, not for when someone's life hangs in the balance.

And yes, as the old saying goes, whenever you point a finger, there are three pointing back at you. So why am I not there? I don't know, but it has really begun to disturb me.

Shakespeare said to thyne own self be true, and I don't like the excuses that I appear to be making to myself. "But, my job, my responsibilities, the hardship, the feeling of what would it really matter." I'm not buying my own excuses. I may very well find myself there tomorrow, but I just don't know..
