Perhaps, it's ALSO God's will that she was brought to this sacrificial altar to 'pay for' all the sins of America. (abortions, gays, etc).../heavy sarcasm

Considering the current hysteria, someone may actually find that significant. : )

If the truth is ever exposed about this 15 years of hell for this innocent girl, it will most likely show a web of evil liars, all hovering together protecting their slimey behavior. I'm betting at least five people involved in this belong in jail.

I agree.

I'd be willing to wager that there are many Freepers on these threads right now who live less than an hour's drive from the hospice. What does that say to you? To me, it says that sitting here typing posts that do nothing to bring this case to the public eye is more important to them than engaging in a little civil disobedience. Of course, that would end up with an arrest and an hour or two in the local pokey. Very inconvenient.

I wouldn't bet against you.

My mother said to me this morning that she was glad I didn't live anywhere near the place. She said she knows she would be bailing me out of jail. My daddy used to tell me that the only way to get try to get things changed was to go to the people who made the laws even if you go alone. He said "sitting at your kitchen table bitching about it with others doesn't do a damned thing to change things". I would substitute daddy's "kitchen table" with "internet message board" and the concept still applies.

It's so easy for me or anyone else to sit here and just demand that someone do something. So easy and so convenient.

Toe jam is good too. I speak from personal experience (blush).

About 20 years ago, I was at a party, looked in the fridge, and there was a jar of jelly. Having the munchies at the time, I figured a PBJ would be good. Opened up the jar of jelly, and it smelled like feet... yuck.

I live in Indiana, and my car would never make it.

I live in Washington State, and my Geo Metro would make it and not use much gas but I would be there in time (maybe) to attend the funeral, if her can parents arrange one. Certainly wouldn't be in the mood to go to Disneyworld after that. (think of the ignorant, blissful people enjoying their vacations in Forida right now).

I think there are a lot who would react against the Bush Brothers out of frustration. They are not saying it from the heart, but as a reaction to the situation.

***********

I agree. This is a very emotional issue, with many of us feeling helpless in the face of a great wrong that is being done.

"The president can write an executive order to get Terri into a hospital immediately."

The President [note the capitalization] can do no such thing. He can only write executive orders dealing with Executive departments of the Federal Government. He can't write executive orders having to do with state matters.

If I were the common-law-wife and/or parents of the common-law-wife of Terri Schiavo's "husband", I would be paying very, very close attention to all of this. If Terri's "husband" would abandon her like this and essentially push for her death, then he would do the same to the common-law-wife as well, should the same situation happen. Don't you think you would be asking yourself the same question? How his common-law-wife is willing to sleep with that guy after all this is mindboggling. Is it all about the money, after all? And isn't this just a great way to train up their two children? "Well, as soon as daddy's first wife dies and the rehab $$ reverts to daddy, then OUR mommy and daddy will get married (maybe)."

No, I didn't...I'm not willing to "Don't just stand there, do something," but I'm also not dismissing anything out of hand.

I suggested before, but after additional research, I believe an executive order has to be related to a specific point of law. It might have worked had the original verision of the bill which granted an immediate TRO been passed.

If you are referring to the 1957 case in Little Rock, the troops were inforcing Brown V. Board. Sending troops now would be to support Michael Schiavo

I know, please don't take my comments as an attack. I just can't understand that in this country, we can not save this woman from being starved to death. It just does not compute. I can't not believe that one judge with his shady past can hold judgement over the Senate, Congress, President, and the Govenor. We might as well save all of the tax payers alot of money by sending every politician home. We have no need for them anymore. A judge can decide our fate now.

Exactly...that's what is discussed in those links I attached.

That's how it started, was with handicapped, not Jews.

What is needed is not ten or twelve people being arrested for trying to take her water, but ten or twelve thousand people.

Think Gandhi at the salt plant.

A long line down around the corner and out for miles...average citizens, each with their bottle of Aquafina, stepping up, saying to the LEOs "I am here peacefully. I intend to enter her room and give her water" and then walking forward and being arrested.

Dozens, hundreds, thousands, until the civil order breaks down and she can be removed to a proper hospital.

All done peacefully.

I just heard a radio show and the quote from Greer about the earlier DCF request was, "It's time for this to end."

Makes me wonder if this was orchestrated to end during Passover as a mockery of Judaism and Christianity.

Jesus already paid for our sins. She's just a symptom of a nation that has rejected God as a whole. When you embrace evolutionary philosophy, what makes Terri any better than anything else, man, animal, or object?
