Hey, I'm with this guy. However, this is often easier said than done, and in this case I repeat I do not envy Gov. Bush.

We have crossed the Rubicon. There's no looking back because the battle is in front of us now...

Then FL law should have stated that.

"BOTH Bushes telegraphed yesterday they would act unilaterally. "

Yet, neither have. What was the purpose of Jeb's press conference yesterday?

I'm hearing (on talk radio) a backlash against this lack of action.

Judge Greer has a history of bad rulings.
Like the recent one in which he stopped a womans restraining order against a ex - husband . He killed her.
He is also legally blind !!!
He has signed off on Mike request to cremate her.

Lame duck President Bush needs to call out the troops and remove Terry to the protection of the nearest Army base.

Andrew Jackson and Dwight Eisenhower would have done it.

Felos was on the board of the hospice Terri is residing in now.
I heard Bobby Schindler on Glenn Beck this morning say a judge, not sure which judge ( don't know if it was Greer) ordered Terri into the hospice on the pretense she only had 6 months to live. This was 5 yrs ago. She had been warehoused at that point. When Terri entered the hospice, Felos resigned the board.

Here is the e-mail that I just sent to Jeb.

Governor Bush,

Providence has placed you in the unique position of being the only person on earth who can save Terri's life. For various reasons, you may have prayed that this cup pass from you. It has not and will not.

Just as God has put President Bush where he is for a reason, He has put you where you are for a reason. Now we all know what that reason is. You dare not shirk your earthly and godly duties.

Who knows what the political consequences might be. It is of no moment. You have only one proper course of action before you: save the life of this woman and the soul of the nation.

I am not blaming the family because they had no means to go out and hire the best attorneys and I think Randall Terry sweet talked them, but what was wrong with the legal team itself not asking for help?

The politics of crisis. Do we know they didn't ask for help? It's really the client's responsiblity to accept what help is offered. I suspect that whoever was calling the shots (Terry?) was most responsible.

Let's see, the Courts render judgments based on Florida law as written and enacted by the legislature rather than acting on their own and adjudicating the case based on how they feel about the law (which is what most people want them to do) but you call it "Judicial tyranny"?

That's debatable. dennisw has an excellent compilation of Greer's violations of FL law in this case. And there's an online petition to impeach Greer - largely ineffective I know, but the point is - that details them as well, citing appropriate statutes for each.

I saw that too, plus several good legal minds in subsequent interviews said the same. I wondered at the time, so why on earth hasn't one of these put his talent where his mouth is and stepped up to the base to help?

I predicted it yesterday. The state would break out the SWAT teams and armored vehicles in order to send a message to the people. The state loves a party where it gets to remind us of just who controls who........

lemme see...........
You have a backwater judge who made a ruling and has defied anyone and everyone to overturn his decision.......including elected oficials who are supposed to have equal powers.
THAT is judicial tyranny!

As with most polls, they were carefully worded to get the response they wanted. Most people in this country only give half an ear to the news and will agree with the slant "Katie," "Matt," or "Oprah" give to the story.

Who's gonna remove Jeb if he acts. Greer and what army? How is it illegal if he makes an executive order to do so? If Jeb doesn't act, he will lose all future political bids and ambition. He will have shun the conservative base. I'm here in FL and if Jeb doesn't act, I will work damn hard against him if he chooses to run for the US Senate.

We have lost this battle, my friends. We should not let it keep us down. Discouraged? I feel the same way. But dismayed? Never. Let us be like Paul said in Second Corinthians. staying strong "in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger...through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

This battle is over, the war is not. Stay strong!! Don't give up!

"They're both males with brown hair & occasionally sport a goatee?"

I think it's more than just that. For me, it's body language, the look in the eyes...things like that. He doesn't come across well, if that makes any sense. Granted, our society does not cast judgement based on those things, yet we've all had 'gut feelings' about people.

Michaels brother speaking out for him has done, IMHO, way more damage for Michael's side then good. His lack of care and compassion for Terri was blatant.
