The whole Terri Schiavo story
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | March 24, 2005 | Diana Lynne

Posted on 03/24/2005 6:49:32 AM PST by thouworm

The life and death tug-of-war over Terri Schiavo is a 12-year-old court battle that remained under the radar of most major news outlets until recently. WorldNetDaily was among the first national news organizations to cover the story back when it primarily occupied the headlines of the local press in Southwest Florida, in November 2002.

As the rest of the news world works to catch up on this complex, multifaceted, precedent-setting case, readers have asked WND about errors and glaring omissions in the current widespread media coverage....

In view of this, WorldNetDaily has decided to mine our extensive archives to compile a comprehensive analysis of the Terri Schiavo story.

[ex-girlfriend]-"Cindy Shook gave a deposition to the Schindlers in April 2001, in which she stated that when she asked Michael Schiavo about treatment for Terri he responded, "How the hell should I know?We never spoke about this. My God, I was only 25 years old. How the hell should I know? We were young. We never spoke of this."

I've lived here in Florida for the past 32 years, but I'm in Panama City (Panhandle) which is the strongly Conservative/Republican part of the state.

It's the penisula and especially south Florida that has all the problems.

If all the state lines were squared off, we'd end up being part of Alabama (we lose either way).

Supreme Court denies review of the case. Jeb Bush has the executive authority to seize Terri Schiavo. I sure he feels damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I believe morally and politically he will long live the regret of not assuming protective custody and seizing her. JEB BUSH: SEIZE TERRI SCHIAVO!

I agree. In fact, one doctor who has spent 10 hrs with Terri several years ago wanted that very therapy for her. Terri has been neglected and deprived of most recent medical advancements and rehabilative therapies for the last decade -- she has been warehoused.

Thank God your nephew's parents agree with what Terri said to her friend about the Ann Quinlan case: "Where there is life, there's hope."

I will pray often for your nephew and his parents. I believe in miracles.

Thanks for your prayers. I'm usually not one to shed tears but watching this unfold over the last two weeks, given what I know about my nephew, has been utter agony.

In my nephews case several MRIs and PET scans done since the therapy was started have shown increased brain activity and an increased blood flow to the damaged areas of his brain hence the improvements in his responsiveness, both verbal and physical.

That Terri wasn't given this opportunity is an unspeakable crime.

This lawyer is totally "jumping the shark", IMHO. He is coming off as totally insensitive to the plight of Terri and her family.

Judge Bork on Fox News. There has not been an adequate investigation of the facts.

"[S]he is a roman catholic which makes it a sin."

The Roman Catholic position concerning the practice of cremation underwent significant change in 1963. The absolute restriction was changed not to condemn the actual practice but to focus upon the reasons that may underlie the practice. Church law now states that:

"Funeral rites are to be granted to those who have chosen cremation, unless there is evidence that their choice was indicated by anti-Christian motives." (#15, ORDO EXSEQUIARUM, 1969)

It is not a sin.

When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him.

After he put them all out, he took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum!" (which means, "Little girl, I say to you, get up!" ). Immediately the girl stood up and walked around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.

I know I showed one of my favorite versions of Medieval art from Lazarus and the passage from Mark intermixed, but to me, they both show the power of God in His ability to raise those He loves.

mike and his hospice lawyer have gotten JUdge Greer to sign off on terri being cremated . interesting isn' it. she is a roman catholic which makes it a sin.

The one thing of which I am sure is that the Almighty is watching closely and His angels record every thought and action of these people. If justice is not done in this life, it undoubtedly will be done in the next.

In the end, nobody gets away with anything.

Looks to me like an old boy corruption scheme.
from junkyardblog
US Dept of Health and Human Services is currently trying to collect $14.8 million from Florida Suncoast Hospice, owed to them since 1997. The squeaki-clean(not) Hospice is accused of patient brokering and several lawsuits filed by Attorney Jonathan Alpert are pending.
Terry illegally there and Medicaid paying. Someone with 40,000 is not elligible for Medicaid. A bunch oif people are making money off this hospice, it seems.

I liked the related Ann Coulter commentary so much, I plagiarized part of it for my tagline! :-)
