Clearwater, Florida - Judge George Greer admits there was an error in fact in the 2000 trial that established Terri Schiavo;s "right to die."When a family friend claimed a 19-year-old Terri was upset that right to die icon Karen Ann Quinlan's parents removed her from life support, the Judge discounted the testimony, reportedly because the Judge said Quinlan died in 1976.
Quinlan was taken off life support in 1976, but died in 1985. A technical error, yes. But Wednesday afternoon, Judge Greer ruled it was not enough to affect the outcome of the 2000 lawsuit that held Terri would not want to be kept alive with severe brain damage.

HUSBAND IN NAME ONLY... got that now?
I think it's time for ten thousand good Christian folks from the great State of Florida to just go there.
With a candle in one hand, a quart bottle of water in the other, and nothing but mercy in their hearts.
I couldn't agree more -- that's what makes me think there is more to this than Terri -- something else is being covered up for that scumbag Felos by this Judge.
Hi, Jeff -- how about some sort of symmetry, with Terri rescued in the same way Elian was grabbed, right at Easter? No asking permission. I'm hoping I awaken to that news. Why not?
I will end my day sending Jeb another email: JebBush@myflorida.com -- have not been able to get through on his phone lines all today, but did get through to Atty. Gen. ... fwiw.
God, please strengthen and protect Terri through this night -- bring shame and fear to those who are doing evil against her, from the great to the small, and strengthen the hearts, minds, and arms of those who have the power to act on her behalf.
Because wasn't he busy with the 11 circuit filing?
You could not write a book or movie, and be this sloppy and it be even remotely believable.
You and me both -- this has shined the light of truth on the hospice business in Florida and my guess is they have been letting people die by starvation for sometime and collecting money.
Jeb looks like a toothless, indecisive clown. He is not looking good at all right now.
Imagine what would happen with an attorney of the stature of, say, Mesereau (the guy who is now trying to get Michael Jackson off the hook). Of course imagine what money would have to be poured into that. Why didn't that businessman who offered Michael $1M to relinquish Terri, after he refused then offer it for the hottest lawyer that can be found on this side of eternity?
I hope you're not still waiting! ... :oP
Good point -- just who is on his team. What scared me today was to find out Larry Klayman was with the parent's attorney. I wouldn't have let that man anywhere near this case because his record of wins is almost nil.
BTTT
Have you ever read the reviews about Felos book?
"Terri made mention at that conversation that, "If I ever go like that, just let me go. Don't leave me there. I don't want to be kept alive on a machine,"' Scott Schiavo, Michael Schiavo's brother, told lawyers years afterward. As lawyers and the public debate Mrs. Schiavo's life, a look back at hundreds of pages of court transcripts reveals testimony largely forgotten in the national debate about her right to die.
That testimony helped a judge decide in 2000 that Mrs. Schiavo, left severely brain damaged after collapsing in 1990, would not want to be kept alive by artificial means.
Like almost everything in the case, recollections about Mrs. Schiavo's words are disputed. Some remembrances are called outright inventions. LINK
Hi, Geek -- joining you in that petition.
whoever they are .. I have to admit .. they are very organize is getting these petitions out
I wondered the same thing about the guy offering $1M -- why not pay for the best legal team you could assemble. This is at such a disadvantage that I cannot believe their pleading and I am not a lawyer.
No I haven't -- probably make me mad, right?
You got that right
Sorry Karen, post #94 is for you too.
