Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.

There is a legal fiction that Terri asked to not have treatment, a form of legal suicide, which is in fact judicial death penalty

As long as they allow this fantasy of death by state-enforced suicide, supposedly at the victim's request, those who are handicapped are endangered.

IT IS VERY important for anyone who has jury duty to serve on the chance they will be appointed.

If the Florida statutes specifically state that it is illegal to starve and dehydrate someone, why couldn't the Florida Attorney General just make a call to the hospice to tell them that he is sending the ambulance to get Terri and that if they don't tell the police guards to stand down (they are on the hospice property, so the hospice must have allowed them permission to be there) that he will have them all arrested for attempted murder?

Greer's caveat is that he can override that provision if to provide her food and water would cause her harm. In this case, the harm in not providing it far outweighs the benefit of trying, but Greer won't admit that.
