Michael obviously tired to kill her with the door closed and locked, he tried it five times, this is a law enforcement case, where is law enforcement?

Probably busy giving out speeding tickets to otherwise law abiding citizens at this very moment.

You ask a disturbing but important question. If this is not even POSSIBLY a case of constitutional breach, then they may as well take some White-Out to the phrase "right to life".

"If that is true, how do we know if we as citizens of the U.S. have a right to life? Has it been taken away?"

It's not as simple as that. Most states have laws dealing with end of life decisions and withholding treatment under some circumstances. These laws vary from state to state.

Apparently, Florida law, at least as interpreted by the Florida court system, allows the withholding of nutrition and hydration in such cases.

Other states may not. I don't know about all states.

Even in Texas, President Bush, when Governor, signed a law that is even more liberal than the Florida law. This all comes down to a legal question, at least for the immediate situation.

Regardless of the outcome of this particular case, if you feel that such end of life cases need new law, then you should be working to institute such laws. It's very unlikely that any efforts by the public are going to affect Terri's situation.

Rhetoric is not going to have any effect. The case is in the judicial system now, and the federal judicial system, at that. What they decide will be the end of this story.

If you feel that such end of life decisions are wrong, then it's time to work to change them.

To whom does it make a difference? The law is what matters, not the reputation of the attorney.

Fox and Friends, however, this morning, had on Carla Iyer. She told the truth. It was very good and extremely condemning of Michael's behavior, all along.

I heard. That's some progress. But they need to put her on a little later for the West Coast time slot. Hopefully, she'll be on later somewhere.

Nothing matters to the courts in Florida but the legal, binding marriage between Terri and Michael. He gets the last call. If this were Texas, for example, the hospital would get the last call. Different states have different laws, and the HINO has positioned himself perfectly. You've got to give him credit.

Sure for now it may look like the perfect crime. However, he will have to face the ultimate Judge Jesus Christ someday. Hell is a real place (I based this on what Jesus said in the New Testament), you know its Hell & you realize that it’s for eternity. Think about it, being in Hell for eternity. Just think about how Jesus describes Hell. In the end people get what they deserve.

You mean come to grips with the fact that the man that is much more accurately described as her EX-husband for the last several years has beligerantly dug his heels in where most reasonable people would have come to an agreement with the parents and lead a judicial charge to strengthen the case for expanded euthanasia in this country like the Europeenies do?

Hell no.

If the guy - and commentators - feel the need to continually push this kind of crap credential, what does that indicate about the rest of what Hammesfahr has to say?

I would agree that just the fact that he was a Nobel prize nominee should not add much more weight to his credentials. But honestly, while I have seen numerous people belittle this doctor, no one that I have seen offered a shread of evidence as to why he should be so roundly denounced. I have seen news footage of his successes from a news channel, and have read testimony of his patients. But I have not had anyone point me to any information that backs up the claim that he is not worthy of consideration of credentials.

As soon as the left saw all these religious and pro-life groups supporting Terry they took the opposing point of view. No matter how hypocritical they look.

Well then, its good that some of them fell into the trap, but the truly savvy among them (Hillary, for instance) just ducked the vote. I saw a number of Rats from my old home state of WA voted against Terri Schiavo, but they're from districts that constantly re-elect them by very wide margins.

The best we can hope for is that this tars the Rat Party as the party of death, but Republicans should not beat it like a drum, it needs to sink in subtly. Most people really don't want to have to think about this.

First of all, his claim that he is a "Nobel Prize Nominee" means absolutely nothing. Even the Congressperson who "nominated" him has told him to stop making the claim.

I am very, very skeptical of polls, I think the liberal media knows exactly who to go to, to get the poll results they need and therefore influence public opinion. We only have to remember the infamous exit polls. I do not believe the majority of Americans getting the true facts of this case would want this woman killed. However you wrap it up that's what it would be.
