Isn't that just as bad as the experts who claim she is PVS after spending only a short time examining her? He claimed she's NOT PVS, but hadn't examined her yet. Suppose an art dealer claims he has a Rembrandt painting of a landscape. Who would be a more credible witness of its veracity:
- An art "expert" who took a 30-second glance and said "yup, it's real", or
- A layperson who looks at a photograph and says "Power lines in a Rembrandt landscape are preposterous!"
A photograph is never good enough to authenticate a painting, but may well be good enough to prove it fake (subect to the caveat that the photo actually depict the painting in question). Likewise, video is not good enough to show PVS, but is good enough to prove non-PVS.

How is he going to gain financially compared to how he could gain by walking away? He was offered at least 1 million to do so. Why does no one here want to address that?
I have addressed this before and will again right here. My theory about Michael's relentless persistence in refusing to end his quest is one that is likely a strong attorney advice from Felos. Michael has ALWAYS maintained, from the time that there unquestionably a great deal of money at stake to the present when some sources say most of the money is gone, that he was ONLY motivated by Terri's wishes to die. To change his position now would potentially expose him to very serious charges that he has always been in it just for the money. This would especially appear feasible if he were to accept the recent offers. If a case CAN be made that he has always been motivated by greed, he would be potentially chargeable for abuse of Terri during the time that has transpired since he began the quest to have the feeding tube removed. This is not about the question of whether he was abusive before Terri's collapse. This is about denial of rehabilitation and medical care during the time of all of the legal action. Remember, he was supposed to use the rehabilitation money for Terri's rehabilitation. He has a tiger by the tail, basically. He cannot at this point afford to let go of the tail for fear the tiger will turn and bite him. As long as he never gives up the facade that he has always only acted on Terri's wishes, he is more immune to prosecution of abusing his guardianship power.
Just my theory.

Once again she is not a vegetable. The medical diagnosis of PVS is being debate(which is a big part of the Congressional Act to get de novo trial, so that modern medical tests can be used to determine her exact condition) Your persistent calling her a vegetable is way more insulting then anything that I have said to you.
I agree. What frustrates me is that there seems to be overwhelming anecdotal evidence of Terri's present state of awareness. Even if you don't believe Terri's parents or siblings or best friends, surely you will believe a priest??? I saw a priest that has spent some time with her recently who said that she recognizes him and that she closes her eyes during prayer and re-opens them when prayer is through. Are we to believe the priest is part of this cabal of liars? The reality here is that SOMEONE is not telling the truth. Either it is Michael Schiavo and his brother and sister-in-law (and his doctors who may not be lying but who may be a little sloppy in their diagnosis of PVS based upon a CAT scan) or it is a MYRIAD of people on the Schindler side... parents, siblings, just about all of Terri's friends growing up, the Schindler's doctors (many of them), priests. In such cases the liars tend to be the smaller group of people.

It all goes back to Clinton and his merry gang of Stalinists....burning of innocent children in Waco.
Somalia...cowardice and dereliction of duty.
WTC First Bombing....took no action....let the courts decide.
Clinton's pathetic lack of morals and character.
Elian Gonzalez....snatched and sent back to Castro's Hell
North Korea, he believed them.
USS Cole...he'd rather sit it out...his all consuming legacy you know.
bin Laden offered three times by Sudan to Clinton...nah...Clinton didn't have a legal issue to arrest him.
WTC---9-11-01...Pentagon...9-11-01....Flight 93....9-11-01
Clinton appointed Judges order death by starvation for defenseless disabled woman.
Pope John Paul II, August 12, 1993 in the presence of President Clinton addressed the crowd gathered at Regis University gave Clinton a Gutenberg Bible following these words:
"The inalienable dignity of every human being and the rights which flow from that dignity--in the first place the right to life and the defense of life--as well as the well-being and full human development of individuals and peoples, are at the heart of the church's message and action in the world...No country, not even the most powerful, can endure if it deprives its own children of this essential good.
Earlier that same day at the Stapleton Internation Airport in Denver, Colorado, the Pope said the following:
"The best tradition of your love presumes respect for those who cannot defend themselves."
On August 14, 1993 at Cherry Creek State Park at a night prayer vigil the Pope spoke to a quarter of a million people saying:
There is spreading an anti-life mentality--an attitude of hostility to life in the womb and life in its last stages. Precisely when science and medicine are achieving a greater capacity to safeguard health and life, the threats against life are becoming more insidious. Abotion and euthanasia--the actual killing of another human being--are hailed as 'right' and solutions to 'problems'--an individual's or society's".

If she is not being killed then why are people being arrested for trying to bring her water? Did you know that Judge Greer dictated that she not be given ANY water. That is murder in my book. People that do not see this for what it is are morally bankrupt.

Sometimes I daydream that President Bush will send out the Federal Marshalls, or a tough battle hardened Seal Team to extract Terri from her death chamber.
To: ALOHA RONNIE
America lost a great man that horrific day. Because of Rick Rescorla sacrifice, many lived.

Thank you. "morally bankrupt". One more childish insult to add to my collection.
And you can pass judgment on them based on what? Your intimate knowledge of their lives and thoughts?

Yes - I can pass judgment on them because in agreeing with this barbaric display of inhumanity they themselves have lost any sense of human decency, and are morally bankrupt.
To: blueriver
I suppose God will be relieved. Such a load off his shoulders. He doesn't have to pass judgment on people anymore. You can do it for him.

Give it a rest - I make my judgments and you make your judgments. Unfortunately yours is void of human compassion.

Thank you for making my point.
