I don't rely on wnd, but I do rely on TEJ.

I have read this case over and over. I don't care if you are a trial lawyer. You read and see what you want.

Too bad almost everyone who reads what is going on sees that this thing stinks to high Heaven.

I will call him sadist every time. Unless you can explain to all of us how one denies brushing of teeth,or the opening of a window.

I am not relying on one article. So knock it off.

If you can't read ALL my postings on this matter and ALL the information, the that proves you most certainly are a trial lawyer...only picking out what you want.

If you are not interested in saving Terri, seek like elsewhere.

No, I read the opinions and form my own conclusion. I also read the opinions of the GAL's, including Jeb's own. Interesting that noone cares to cite from his report, which calls all the vitrol and lies surrounding Michael unfounded and urban myths.

No. Don't take it that way. I was completely sincere. Not sarcastic at all. I'm sorry you took it that way. I was shocked and horrified. Maybe it didn't come across that way in writing. But I sincerely appreciated you telling me your story and I am horrified that Florida is such a murder factory. I live in Kansas and I would never move to Florida after learning what the environment around death is in that state. Please understand that you misinterpreted what I meant. I am a straight shooter.

Good for you. Regardless, excuse me if I discount a news article about the trial and look instead to the actual trial documents.

Greer is not, and was never, a GAL.

Greer has been acting as judge, jury, attorney, guardian ad litem in the Schiavo case as well as witness for the plaintiff in the case,

CONTRARYMARY: It would appear that in TRUTH, TERRI has not been ALLOWED to have an ACTUAL GUARDIAN AD LITEM. They were FIRED, one after another, apparently because they tried to PROTECT TERRI'S INTERESTS.

A University of South Florida health law professor will act as Terri Schiavo's guardian ad litem for the specific issue of whether she can ever eat normally, a judge ruled late Friday. Jay Wolfson, who has served on the board of directors at Tampa General Hospital and who teaches health law, medicine and other subjects at USF, Florida State University and Stetson University College of Law, was appointed by Chief Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge David Demers.

Her financial records are sealed, so no one knows, except the ghouls. There could easily be a large insurance policy on her life.

Well, this goes to the bigger picture of he was only carrying out her wishes to die.

Yes, it does appear that there is some remaining cortical tissue, but not much

Thank you!! I was hoping to hear she still had some cortical tissue.

Textbook rewrite: brain cells can regrow, Friday, 15 October 1999.

A Princeton study has added to mounting evidence for the brain's ability to regenerate by showing, in adult monkeys, that new nerve cells are continually added to the cerebral cortex, the largest and most advanced part of the brain.[snip]

Within the cerebral cortex, the researchers found neurogenesis in three areas: 1) the prefrontal region, which controls executive decision making and short-term memory; 2) the inferior temporal region, which plays a crucial role in the visual recognition of objects and faces, and 3) the posterior parietal region, which is important for the representation of objects in space.

Interestingly, there was no sign of neurogenesis in a fourth area, the striate cortex, which handles the initial, and more rudimentary, steps of visual processing.

As Terri used to say, "Where there's life, there's hope."

The appelatte court only saw what Greer allowed in evidence. They watched the videos with the eyes of 'educated laypersons'. They started with the premise that she was a PVS case. "Most severe of irreparable of brain injuries" is what they called it, only because that is what the initial guardianship court ruling was. That is not a de novo review of evidence. That was reviewing evidence sent to them by Greer with the initial bias still intact. If this is what passes for judicial review these days, no wonder so many innocents have been imprisoned. The judiciary is filled with idiots.

Since Michael Schiavo is involved in a common law relationship with another woman and given that there are several witnesses that attest to his lack of concern over Terri Schiavo, he has relinquished any legitimate authority to be the decision maker. Any relationship between him and Terri was terminated when he began his relationship with the other woman. By default, the decision makers should be the Schindlers, her parents. It is they who should call the shots.

There are greater problems here than the fate of Terri Schiavo, though her probable death through dehydration will be in itself tragic. The first is the development of the judiciary into the dominant player in the tripartite system of government, on both state and Federal levels. It appears that Judge Greer ignored evidence that Michael Schiavo was not qualified to be the decision maker. He also ignored testimony that contradicted the assertions that Terri was in a persistent vegetative state. He also had no evidence other than that of the word of Michael Schiavo that she wanted to die. Before her injuries, she professed adherence to Catholicism, which opposes pulling feeding tubes as a means of hastening death.

The judiciary of Florida, up to the state supreme court, ratified the decrees of Judge Greer because these judges, predominantly liberals, share an ideology that believes euthanasia is justifiable. Furthermore, the justices were protecting a fellow member of their "tribe", striking down an attempt of the state legislature to save her.

The second problem is the cowardice of the Republican Party in this matter, and of Governor Jeb Bush. Party discipline in Tallahassee is so weak that the GOP cannot compel several party members in the state Senate to do the right thing. These RINOs will likely get away with their pro-death votes and not face primary challenges or recall votes (if Florida law allows for such). Governor Bush, as commander of the state police and the National Guard, could move Terri Schiavo out of the facility where she is dying. He has not done so. The Feds, for all the pro-life bluster coming out of the White House and the Republican congressional leadership, have been ineffectual.

The bottom line is that neither the executive and legislative branches of government, state or Federal, are willing to stare down the judicial tyranny taking place. Such qualms did not stop Presidents Jackson and Lincoln from defying Supreme Court orders when they felt their duties warranted such defiance. We regard Jackson and Lincoln as great figures in our history. Will future generations see Jeb Bush as a 21st Century Pontius Pilate?

The third problem is the lack of outrage on the part of the pro-life community, both Catholic and evangelical. I would include in this comment the failure of church leaders, Catholic (Michael Schiavo) and Baptist (Judge Greer) to discipline communicants who are blatant, public sinners. Violence against the Pinellas Park police, Judge Greer, and Michael Schiavo would be entirely wrong. But for all the pro-lifers in the area, only one has the guts to even engage in Martin Luther King style civil disobedience, the woman arrested for trying to take a bottle of water to Terri Schiavo. Furthermore, if only 30% of Floridians favor her continuing to live, that would represent about five million people. If only 5% of them converged on Pinellas Park, it would be an overwhelming and entirely peaceful and lawful demonstration. But that has not happened. Where are the pro-life bishops and pastors of the Sunshine State? Why aren't they in their pulpits calling for their church members to engage in lawful and peaceful protest? Instead, they are focusing on another bunch of Holy Week rituals.

The entire Terri Schiavo situation is a frightening testimony to the moral weakness and cowardice of Floridians and Americans.

Yup, and five years from now new advances in medicine may have helped Terri.

That nurse is on Hannity right now, her testimony is very powerful, as this is played out on the MSm, the murderous conspirators fate will be sealed. Nobody will believe Schiavo anymore.
Actually I predict that he will disappear from the media because he is so transparent and unbelievable,he will not be able to stand side by side with these nurses.

Me too. Sorry I didn't check back through the links, I just assumed it was your mistake.

I hope you realize I was not trying to CRITICIZE and DEMEAN, I was hoping to achieve some calm. It is so easy to get 'riled' and say things that while 'true', accomplish nothing but hurt other's feelings and make them more defensive.

I know, I have done it myself often enough.
