Tell that to Judge Greer. He has allowed speculation on this case for years.

You got that right. I live in Longmont, much to close to the "sin city" of CO.

The only people who claim that Terri expressed a wosh to die all have the same last name: SChiavo.
It was posted earlier on this thread that Mother Schiavo was also put to sleep by her caring 3 children.

What the liberals and liberal appointed judges are doing here will again have ramifications in future society.
This is bringing society closer to killing the handicapped or elderly based on something other than their natural time coming.
I figure the insurance companies love this, because if they can kill people, their liability is lessened.
This is the culture of death who's birth was around the legalization of abortion on demand IMO.

Following her wishes is much more humane than keeping her alive to suffer as long as possible.

What about the argument that the express intent of the law was ignored by Whittemore?
The president does have authority to intervene if a law passed by Congress is being ignored or disobeyed, does he not?
And it seems to me that Whittemore is basically flouting the will of Congress, and disobeying the law as it was intended to be.

The other fantasy concocted by the media is that she will not suffer. They bring in doctors to harp about "the end of life" and how there isn't pain, etc.
Of course this only takes place with people suffering organ failure and have no further will to live. The brain stops sending warning signs (read: pain) when malnutrition is occuring. A living, otherwise healthy (read: no organ failure) person will be governev by survival instincts. The brain will send message after message after message (read: pain) to any and every part of the body affected, to tell Terri to eat or drink something quick.
There is a MASSIVE difference. People will drink their own urine to survive if stranded in the desert. Terri is not "dying". Her body will respond to malnutrition accordingly.

>>Your non-answer is noted. I won't 'hound' you anymore. The pharisees made similar legal arguments to Jesus, right before they crucified Him. Only afterward did most realize their error.<<<
I think a lot of the pro death crowd are not religious and could careless of what you just stated.
As a matter of fact most of the reason they support taking Terry's life is because religious conservatives are against it.
It is the, "What ever the religious kooks are for, I am against" philosophy.
sad but true

I'm simply stating that you will reap what you sow. Right now you are sowing a culture of death in this country, and in the end it will consume those who advocate it, along with countless innocent lives, lives of individuals who just might choose life over death but will not have that option under certain circumstances.
This is the real danger and tragedy of the Terri Schiavo case. When a people, a society, chooses to value death over life, where it uses that as a pretext to kill those deemed "unworthy" or "useless" or "vegetative", and uses the political cover of "choice" or "spousal rights" to justify such heinous acts, then it is a short step to a larger holocaust. We see it today in Europe, where doctors pro-actively kill newborns that they deem "defective" or "deformed", with no consideration of anyone else's wishes. In the past, most reasonable people would recoil at such a prospect. But, here, today, on FR and elsewhere, we see those who are absolutely driven to an extreme in advocating the death of Terri Schiavo, simply to show, as a test case, that it can be done. Because they know it opens the door just a little wider, giving them just a peek, into a future wherein human life simply becomes another issue to be decided by those who hold the power.

They looked at the evidence that Greer looked at, which is only what he wanted allowed in as he had already made his RULING before the trial took place.
Tell me I'm wrong, and I'll tell you exactly why I am not.

And of course, the next step is to question my Christianity. Bravo. What a strong argument you make! How could I stand against the weight of such reasoned thinking.
You don't know me so you have no basis on which to judge my faith, but you're fee think what you wish. I'll look you up when we're in heaven, and see if you still question it then. Until then, you just don't know.

Congress did subpoena Terri before a committee so we all could see/hear Terri herself.
But, of course, Judge Greer refused to accept the subpoenas.
Why Judge Greer has not been arrested for contempt of congress baffles me.

The other fantasy concocted by the media is that she will not suffer. That one is pretty transparent. The doctors dope her up with morphine. If there was no suffering, morphine would not be indicated.

I am tired of hearing about this stupid story, just end it now! Please.
