Yes, and Justice Rehnquist made certain that he made it back to work today...

It's NOT a female judge.

It's JAMES D WHITTEMORE.

If Terri dies, no effort by any politician to stop it will be worth a cent, and I will not give them any credit for trying. It's not that hard to fix this problem.

I'd give him 1 hour, then file in the next court up.

Cant appeal until the District court rules agains them.

we have a President and Congress, but actually we are being ruled by judges.

That's it in a nutshell.

Scary, huh?

As you wish.

I do believe you're correct in your assessment of Napolitano. Sometimes I think he's had to stay up all night studying whenever there are the more complex issues on the table. But one thing I try not to do is hate the messenger when they are only trying to provide information to the best of their abilities. Thanks for your response! :)

Good synopsis...probably ultimately going to SCOTUS

SCOTUS turned it down last week. Doubt they will pick it up if the Appeals Court doesnt.

It IS scary. We, the people, are powerless in front of the tyrannical judiciary.

PS. Thanks for correcting my typo.

Maybe we should do more than just write posts. Maybe God is telling us we must do more. Maybe it is time for us to take matters in our own hands.

Time is indeed running out for Terri. If this Judge hasn't ordered the tube reinserted by tomorrow, then I think we all know he has no intention of ever ordering it. Let's pray that Terri stays strong and that this Judge does the right thing. If not, then yes, it will definitely be time to take action. Even if it’s nothing more than attempting to give her water and food, it is the least we can do.

I don't think a judge moves this slowly on emergency injunctive relief to insert a feeding tube. I am very pessimistic.

It's not good.

"It is both legal and constitional to protect civil rights."

I agree with you, but unfortunately that damnable Clintonese Judge doesn't. So my soon-to-be former party (Republican) has just done meaningless posturing. They can't even save the life of one helpless woman! I'd had it, and I throught with them.

Are we strong enough in our convictions to take a stand that could cost us personally? Are we willing to make a sacrifice?

Would anyone notice?

No, these judges don't have the guts to do that. They prefer to let the poor woman die over an extended period of time. That way they can wash their hands of it (Pontius Pilate would be proud of our American Judiciary).

This judge is probably going to think it over while having dinner.

They turned it down for lack of jurisdiction, which they now have.

"This is a Clinton appointed judge, a democrat "activist" judge. Hence he is corrupt and urinates on justice."

It is pretty obvious. But now Republicans can claim we tried. Well, I don't want tried I want it done. My soon-to-be former party is so impotent and gutless that they cannot save one helpless woman's life.

Michael's comments about Terri to nurses...'that bitch'...his refusal to allow rehabilitation/comfort...identify him as someone who shouldn't be named her 'next of kin' with legal rights of any sort.

If you followed the case closely, you would clearly see that Greer has IGNORED about 15 Florida statutes. Any one of which would have Terri in rehab and being treated now - not being starved to death

Weird then that none of the state or Federal appeals courts found any problem. I guess they were all being paid out of Michael's less than $1 million award.
