Continuation of Terri Schiavo daily March threads. Due to overwhelming participation we reached over 5000 posts in three days time!
My prayers for Terri are straight from Scripture. Best way to pray for anyone. (;
OOPS!!! I mean, [when she's dead and buried,] she's DEAD [so how could she worry about the bugs?] and by that logic he shouldnt be starving her to death either because I'm sure she didn't like that either!
I wouldn't say the president's done NOTHING!
Let's HOPE.
I've been reading the Bible for the first time during the past year. From the Old Testament on. I'm kind of stuck on the Book of Psalms right now.
I love to read prayers from Scripture, thank you.
Great place to get stuck!
I've been 'stuck' there, too, memorizing them. I'm on Psalm 119, in the Amplified, right now. Lovely. Just lovely.
(I had to come to terms first with the fact that all the power to memorize - and to want to memorize - is from the Holy Spirit. Psalm 119, and in the Amplified version, especially, is a bit daunting in its length, if not its language.)
Keep at it.
I love praying God's Word back to Him! I think He loves that, too.
Is this the list? I got it from post# 4077. Thanks to EternalVigilance. Which of these are the nine (pseudo) Republicans?
I can email them. I also found a fax number on Hannity's site (his silly Hannidate #), but it should get to him that way too I would hope.

Matt 25:34-46 Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?["because hey, we've been told all our lives that we're cold and uncaring and lacking in compassion!]
The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.
They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? [Cuz hey, we've been promoting the welfare state all our lives, isn't that the ultimate in compassion?]
He will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
Psalm 107 is up next for me.
Bobby Schindler on Sean's radio program just said Terri is holding her own and doing OK but that could change at any time!!
I am so IMPRESSED by the Schindlers. They are a TERRIFIC FAMILY.....Bobby and Suzanne are WONDERFUL spokespeople.
I've told *my* husband that if I am ever incapacitated or near death I want someone, anyone, in the room with me, reading the Scriptures. That, and hymns of praise playing softly.
If only Terri had such a husband.
I like that better than fading fast!
The psalms are good.
I tend to get stuck in the psalms and in Isaiah and in Matthew myself...
"Is not this the fast that I choose:
to loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the thongs of the yoke,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke?
Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
[8] Then shall your light break forth like the dawn,
and your healing shall spring up speedily;
your righteousness shall go before you,
the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer;
you shall cry, and he will say, Here I am.
Isaiah 58:6-9a
O Lord, be with us who are doing the work you ask,
purify our hearts,
teach us to love,
sustain our sister Terri
and bring us all at home at last to be with you,
Amen.
Try Psalm 27 - I love that.
Did you hear Bobby say she was HOLDING HER OWN, too?
I think Dr Cranfords' EEG is FLAT!!!
Prayers are already working!PTL!!!
