This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they dont want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.
Drudge has the story about President Bush signing of the Bill. The action to be taken based on the Bill is not clear to me.
I feel just like Ted Turner must have when he colorized every movie he could get his paws on...;))
Absolutely.
Good night!
[again!]...;))
Help...I'm posting and I can't shut up.....LOL!
anyone know the # of the bill that was passed? 653 is on the website for the senate if you do a query at this link http://www.senate.gov/pagelayout/legislative/g_three_sections_with_teasers/legislative_home.htm and type Schiavo as a key word, its shows a bill for Terri that you can read, however I am not sure this is the final one.
No I don't support Greer's decision.
Here's the Site for US DIstrict Court For the Middle District of Florida:
http://www.flmd.uscourts.gov/
If you click "notable cases" you find Schiavo v. Greer, but don't get too excited. It's the case from a couple days ago in which the court denied to grant an order to feed Terri, because it had no jurisdiction for a Habeas review.
The new law grants the federal court jurisdiction to conduct a habeas-type review. Maybe that case will be up in a few hours.
The nerve-wracking thing is which judge Terri gets; it's the luck of the draw as to who is on call when Terri's lawyers request an order.
If the SCOTUS decision was necessary for Bush to win, please explain how Gore was gonna pull it out.
By your sarcastic superior tone, this should be easy for you...
I know what you mean!
I am still here,too!
LOL.
I am going now!
See you around!
According to blogsforterri.com she has been ill since they removed her feeding tube and got an infection from that.
She needs immediate medical attention and nourishment.
I am worried.
I wondered what was going on - it was just an ad at the top of the page - sheeeeeeesh!
I have downloaded - and hope I can figure out how to use it.
Currently it does appear to be the only plausible explanation for the "husband"s behavior. I find it hard to believe he is doing it for Terri, and after he seemingly ignored a million dollar offer to save her I'm not sure he's in it for the money...so what else is left?
On the other hand, there may be something I'm missing about this guy.

Yep...that's good.
Would someone please email me the picture BS, er BigSky posted?
His agenda is showing...
I want to see the picture.
Thanks!
I can't put it to words. I changed my Homepage writeup and tried to express the emptiness left behind. It did not help. Very disappointing...I am devastated by this.
I may Opus soon. I will sleep on it. I hate doing things in anger.
But in case we don't get a chance to talk,I have enjoyed the repartee over the years, now, and under my former screen name of Wirestripper.
Perhaps I will go and argue with my old Nemesis "Sabertooth" or something else interesting. I will miss this place, but I cannot justify what the party did tonight, and I cannot stay here with those who caused this to happen. I will be talking about this for a long time to come, and be analyzing it's effects on the party and on the elections to come..
On your homepage you made this statement:
"I do approve of and have vetted in the bible as best I can, the procedure of passive euthanasia or withholding of life saving care in terminaly comatose or dying family members. I believe this compassionate and in line with human morality."
The problem may come in your belief in "human morality." Our morality is not from us, but directed by God. We make some pretty poor decisions and left to our own devices, succumb to all kinds of folly.
In Terri's case she is not living on machines and is not a vegetable. There are extrememly troubling matters with her "husband" and his role acting as her "guardian" that need to be answered. Why be in such a hurry to "pull the plug" so to speak? After all, the only "evidence" that Terri once said she wanted not be kept alive is HIS word...AFTER 7 years in the courts.
When the people who are calling for Terri's immediate death (worse than a dog's lot) are the same ones who will demand mercy for the re-offending sex predator who murdered that little girl - one must ask ... Am I on the right side?
Asking Terri to be a witness is, (in my mind) brilliant. She will perhaps finally be heard. Let's let the truth shine in like the morning sun and justice pour down like a river.
