This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they dont want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.
Just turned over to CNN
Best one I heard was when they said in FLORIDA you can be fined $5,000 for not giving food and water to your pet. Same state says you can deny food and water to an innocent woman and that's okay.
That state needs to rethink its priorities! I am with you -- have no patience left!
Beautiful!
REspectfully, there is a declarant unavailable (incapacitated) exception to the heresay rule which allows it in. In does not mean believed.
Really ,emotions are voting here.
Hey...are women referred to as "Committeeman" or would it be "committeewoman"?
Where do you find out how or if your congressman voted?
Oh my.....now I'm crying again.
Thank you Jim Leach, Jim Nussle and all who voted yea. And thank you, God. There is still a long road ahead.
I am indeed ecstatic that George W. Bush is POTUS. When he speaks of the "culture of life" he means what he says. Praise God, who in His infinite wisdom gave us this man as our president.
And WERE YOU ecstatic about the right to kill the unborn?
I used to have the same nasty habit of calling them the Demoncratic Party. As of late, though, I have this habit of calling them the DemonRAT Party. They are the Party of the Culture of Death.
She's probably right. There's still a 50/50 chance a Federal Judge will not take this case. Then what?

They will have the vote records - don't know how long it takes to get posted.
"Bet you dollars to donuts that with another "Lawton Childs" running, many of his votes will be "the dead voting for the dead" ...."
It's my understanding that he can't run. I heard he has lived out of state and hasn't been here long enough to run. I may be wrong.
....thats what I worry about
Michael was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hospice
Thank you for this, feels good to laugh about the absurdity of it all.
If true, I'm guessing they just found a gaping hole in that law!
The guy on CNN (I don't normally watch it - just checking channels) said that the Fed judge may kick it up to Atlanta, so the tube may not be put back in until Monday sometime. Doc on the same channel who felt it was an 'urgency' but not an 'emergency' said it needed to be done in the OR and most ORs open at 6 am, so she could have it done after that. I have a hard time believing they'd wait for 'normal' OR hours. I think most hospitals have on-call staff in the OR to handle emergencies during off hours.
