You thought the modern DNC leadership just disrespected life in the womb… Now you have a chance to see these gutless wonders in real action as an innocent defenseless woman’s life hangs in the balance…
Too bad Terri Schiavo isn’t a California seal, or a blue sperm whale… If she was, every tree hugging bleeding heart liberal in the country would be lining up as a human shield to protect her right to life including Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer and good old Uncle Teddy.
As it is, they are silent because Terri is just a useless human being who has the misfortune of requiring food and water in order to sustain life. Something now considered “life support” according to Judge Greer.
Where are Gloria Steinem and Jane Fonda when we need them? Where are the women of NOW? They have been burning their bras in defense of women’s mistreatment by men for more than 40 years…
Here’s there chance to earn their jock strap… Terri Schiavo’s husband has been mistreating her for some 15 years and now he wants to kill her by simply denying her food and water, in pursuit of his own happiness. Even worse, he has an accomplice in another male, Judge Greer. This seems the perfect case for the women of NOW doesn’t it? Where are they?
I can’t believe how quiet all these compassionate so-called activists are when it comes to something really worth fighting for. I can’t wait until the next time I see one crawl out from under their rock in defense of hogwash after this….They better lay low for a long time…

Remember that little document called the Declaration of Independence which provided the foundation for our Constitution and Bill of Rights? Well, you can forget about any of these people defending any of it…. It all begins with an “inalienable right” to LIFE!
If they won’t protect that, nothing else matters…

Yes you can. Because you know they aren't really about compassion and never were. It's about power for them, which means the powerless like Terri Schiavo and preborn babies have no value to these wenches.
I am not a Tom Harkin fan. I did watch him this morning and I think he is sincere in his wish to make sure that the rights of people with disabilities are not trampled on.
My conclusion is that it's not about politics, even though politics has been sucked into the matter. It's about evil vs. good, plain and simple. And the Democrat party is currently the comfortable place to be for people without conscience.
A disgusting bunch of democrats as are all who support their ideas and arguments.
Sorry for all the replies on this topic, but I couldn't help but see in my mind Ted Kennedy stuffing his enormous belly with Cape Cod lobster while he tries to starve Terri Schiavo to death.

Murderers - convicted in a state court - like Scott Peterson in California - AUTOMATICALLY GET AN APPEAL TO A FEDERAL COURT - where the whole STATE case is REVIEWED. Why is no one saying this review is an intrusion into states rights by the feds ..??

I reminded George Will via e-mail today that before there
was a Federal Judiciary in America -Men like James Wilson ,
reflected Blackstone -that our laws if they are to be valid
must not violate Divine Law. And in Scripture the only times I can see where the State is granted the right to take life is during War--or in the case of murder.I dont think Terri murdered anybody. And the war seems to be those
who promote a culture of Death against those who believe in the Declaration of Independence concept that all have a
God given Right to life. Reminded as well that the Schools of Medicine used to teach preservaiton of life -before they became enthralled with assisted suicide,euthanasia,and
abortion on demand.(All violate the fundamental rights of the Declaration)
Daisy, canines are worth more in their intellect and honor than any democrat and most people in life. With the exception of Zell Miller, dems are the lowest thing on the food chain, even below crawling slugs. Yes, and it's just sick. The Democrats know they can't stop the bill. What they are doing amounts to, "We know you can fly enough Reps back here to pass this bill, but let's make sure she suffers hunger pangs for another 18 or 24 hours."
