Today we met in Fayetteville, NC to Freep a motley rabble of socialists, anarchists, Code Pink-os, and other throwbacks to the 60's! As usual, we were well outnumbered by their hordes of college students, aging hippies and other bused-in protestors, but we held our own as always.
Please post any reports and observations on this thread only.

They kept shouting, "Four More Years! Four More Years!" Four more years? That doesn't even make sense. That was "Four More Years, Tax Cuts & Dead Terrorists". Get used to it.

I must interject here that I believe all those police officers were there to keep us safe and I am grateful for their service. Let's make a basic assumption. The police face which way given a potential threat, turn their back to it or face it?
Check out your photo diaries on the web, which way did they face?

There were many conscientious objectors there... I didn't read about any, but the Washington Post did call three people their deserters. Lou Plummer's kid, one of the speakers and a guy who drove from Florida.

Our media is bought and paid for by the people making money off this war. You mean like CNN who paid off Saddam and knowingly let people die so that they could keep their Baghdad news bureau?
Eason Jordan knew that Saddam was going to kill his son-in-laws that defected if they returned from Jordan. Yet he said nothing, much like the "peace movement" said nothing about Rwanda, or Sudan.
BTW, the 100 people on the roadway had more "people of color" in their ranks than you did. Look over your photos, your protest was as wahite as a DNC meeting.

"patriotic peacenik" must have partaken of that brown acid.I recited the "Brow Acid Announcement" from Woodstock at least three times, yet this guy didn't want to listen.

See the full comment under the photo of the Belly Dancers for Peace... The speakers were outstanding! ... Nick Berg (Greg Bergs father) Congresswoman Woolsey, who wants everybody to contact their Representative to get support for her bill (H.Con.Res 35) to bring the troops home, and, a surprise guest, not on the program - Medea Benjamin was there with the North Carolina Code Pink contingent -- very inspiring!!!
It looks like Medea was so surprised (and unhinged) by the pink slip she received from the counter-protesters on Saturday that she had to take to the stage and start spinning; with that HUGE message staring her (and the rally attendees) in the face - in her favorite color.

The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze me.
Here are just a few examples of the prevarication on their part, which was demonstrated-in abundant detail-this past Saturday in Central Park.
-East Indians posing as faux Arabs.
-Non-Islamic females donning hijabs, in order to give the impression that they were, in fact, Muslims,
-Peaceniks outfitted in the uniforms of a service in which they've never served,
-Paid stooges pretending to be "homeless veterans",
and ad infinitum.
As Mary McCarthy once said about a fellow authoress known for her deception,
Everything she writes is a lie, including "and" and "the."

Good work, you hit a nerve.

I'm wondering if perhaps that belly dancer would be better served by having her brassiere around her tummy instead of around her chest. Eewww!

Take your pick:
1. Woman's intuition?
2. We have an operative within Medea's circle of power.
3. WAG
4. We didn't know. It was just great good fortune that the anti-CODE PINK MOAB was just right for Fayetteville.

"I thought I saw you working undercover in Medea's entourage." Perhaps I was...LOL!! Well, I'm gonna just haveta make up fer my laziness at the MFJ II !!
FReegards...MUD
BTW...what's this about FRN board members not being allowed to post to MFJ threads? Is this childish in-fighting absolutely necessary?!

First I heard of it. I think I read comments by Jim to several FRN folks when Jim first announced the MFJ-II last week.
You missed a fun weekend in Fayetteville, Mud. Medea Benjamin and Gael Murphy slithered out from the swamps for what I'm sure they had planned to be a triumphal welcome at the "peace" march, but were quickly and very loudly called out as traitors and murderers, much to their dismay. And on Sunday BufordP and BillF tried to teach me about turn signals. Keep 'em guessing, I always say.
To: Huber
Actually he had several great signs, but I was trying to say that there was one that summarized everything I tried to convey in 5 sentences.
I'll have to Freepmail him for his signs.
