The case of Terri Schiavo raises complex issues. Yet in instances like this one, where there are serious questions and substantial doubts, our society, our laws, and our courts should have a presumption in favor of life. Those who live at the mercy of others deserve our special care and concern. It should be our goal as a nation to build a culture of life, where all Americans are valued, welcomed, and protected - and that culture of life must extend to individuals with disabilities.
That is a nice point.
Of course I do; what I'm talking about is the Florida legislature saying anybody who has a feeding tube and no living will has to live, regardless.
Look at Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia. But save the whales. Abortion was indoctrinated there decades ago. The US has a policy of increasing population growth with good families. I know lots of people from South America with good families. Most don't speak a Spanish or Portuguese much. And they own businesses or are technocrats and engineers. As American women abort their nice life along to the age of 40 or so, others will fill the void. Asian women are what American women once were now.
Well how 'bout a moment of silence for courtroom losers then, eh Howlin?
You are refering to this:
"(ORDER LIST: 544 U.S.) THURSDAY, MARCH 17, 2005 ORDER IN PENDING CASE 04A801 SCHINDLER, ROBERT, ET UX. V. SCHIAVO, MICHAEL The application for stay of enforcement of judgment pending the filing and disposition of a petition for writ of certiorari presented to Justice Kennedy and by him referred to the Court is denied."
Unless you are completely ignorant, that does not mean 9 justices found there was due process as you said. It means that at least 5 justices did not want to intervene for whatever reason.
You are a liar. Live with it.
Over 10,000 scientologists practicer there...clearwater is their homebase....and they OWN over 40% of the real estate in that city.
They are VERY RICH.
They have a huge pack of lawyers, Mr. Pope, etc, all friends of Judge Greer. Many of the lawyer assc there have PRAISED judge Greer...he thinks he is walking on water!
Scientologists believe that the mentally diabled are BEST KEPT from regular, productive society members.
Scientologists believe that the mentally disturbed actually really WANT TO DIE.
Do a search on LIsa McPherson...whose scientologists buddies starved and dehydrated her for SEVENTEEN DAYS....then turned her over to a coronor. It was never fully prosecuted...the scientologists who did it fled the country.
It happened right down there in Florida close to Terri....
DO A SEARCH on LISA McPHERSON ( or see um on the last Terri thread...the Terri Schiavo March 2005 'til the hun' thread), and JUST TAKE A GANDER AT WHAT THIS BRUTAL AND TORTUROUS DEATH DOES TO A HUMAN BEING. A HEALTHY HUMAN BEING WHO STILL GETS HUNGRY and is NOT TERMINALLY ILL>
Lisa McPherson's death photos should be plastered upon the hearts and minds of EVERY SINGLE LEGISLATOR in Florida and our federal congress. EVERY SINGLE ONE ONE UM.
Judge greer..all we need to know about you is that YOU FEAR TERRI GETTING BETTER.
Which is WHY you have not ORDERED TESTS DONE ON HER FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS (and EIGHT BEFORE THAT)...so heartless are you that you WILL NOT even visit this woman YOU WOULD MURDER.
Yes, we should trust in the court system in Florida to care for Terri. Like they did during Gore's election crisis. Sarcasm.
That is a nice point.
It was stated on CNN today that because of the importance of the case that Kenneey had ALL of the justices looked at it and that NOBODY wanted to intervene.
Unless, of course, you're calling CNN a liar, too.
Howlin is a woman and your comment is disgusting.
By the House Health Comittee?
Since when did they have the authority to do that?
If he has the power to even delay the process until enough pro-life legal expertise can be mobilized to do battle with the death cultist FL judges and yet doesn't use that power, he will be crossed off my short list of government officials for whom I have some degree of respect. An innocent, helpless woman's life is hanging by a slender thread here, what excuse can there be for not doing everything possible to save that life?
That's very encouraging to hear. And sensible. A Congressman said that?
Absolutely. You put that perfectly!
Howlin seems to be exceptionally blood thirsty. Are you her keeper, or what?!
Very often the word "science" pops up in conjunction with some twisted justification for evil - in this case, the injustice of starving to death an otherwise healthy albeit disabled woman, with no directive stating a wish to die.
I wonder if there's any connection between the proximity of scientology to the locus of events in Terri's case and Judge [sic] Greer's decision to withdraw his membership from his Baptist church.
