You obviously know little about the law.

By the way, are you talking about the same nine justices who effectively repealed the First Ammendment by refusing to overturn the new CFR?

I believe the grandparents were there that night with the little girl. She kissed them goodnight after going to church and having a snack to eat. Still it is a very, very sad day. Sad that the liberals want these kind of men treated with kindness and have civil rights.

Local news showed crime tape surrounding the perp's property, although none of the search dogs alerted shortly following Jessica's disappearance.

I'm not surprised the dogs didn't alert. The Homassassa area is surrounded by dense woods, swamps, brackish marshes and mud flats. Unless Couey tells the police where he dumped Jessica's body, she probably will never be found.

Add to that the torrential rains a day or so following her disappearance.

I checked the publicdata.com site and pick up some people in the 22015 zip code area. But, when I am more awake (it has been a long day), I am going to check the Fairfax County site to see if they have anything posted. My 9 year old granddaughter and 14 year old grandson live here and it worries me to death. Course their parents don't even let them out in the front yard alone. Well, I exaggerate a bit where the boy is concerned (smile). Where are you located?

Heard that, too. HOW IN THE WORLD could a child-murdering pervert like him find an accomplice, much less three of them???

I don't buy it - it sounds to me like this piece of garbage is playing games with the police, or maybe he's just trying to set up some "reasonable doubt" for his high-priced ACLU-provided attorney to work with. This guy's been in and out of the joint for three decades, so he knows how to game the system.

Having said all that, the police have no choice but to follow this lead and prove that it is BS.

Maybe someone already posted this but I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks that the sister he lived with across the street should be prosecuted in some way. She lied about him living there.

Not only that but supposedly she bought the ticket or gave him the money to buy the ticket. She must have known that he would be violating his parole.

Right. Never been near a courtroom in my entire life.

Of course I am, but I'm just doing what everybody else is doing today: picking and choosing the ruling I agree with.

On one of the news reports, I heard that when they did an initial search of sex offenders in the area, 15 came up with a 15 mile radius of her house. HELLO?????

I feel the same way and think she probably will be prosecuted, especially now.

I agree. I always knew where my children were and sometimes I probably was over protective, but we live in a sick world, and I never forget these stories. They are heartbreaking to me that people could actually do these things.

I am beginning to see a pattern and I wonder if anyone sitting in judicial positions see this: Since the Amber Alert has been put into place most of the children who have been abducted and killed were taken by "registered sex offenders". Do they not see that setting these fiends free only allows them to create more victims?

Jessica's body was located on the property across the street from her home.

The 3-4 other people sought in the BOLO last night have been located, and are being charged with obstruction. The sheriff described them as "cracked out," and said the scum perp is a druggie too.

Jeffrey Feiger was just on MSNBC a few minutes ago and said that guys like this pervert never get better and cannot be rehabilitated.

Hooray for Jeffrey Feiger, then. He's learned how to mouth the right words for a TV audience.

Since he's apparently made this stunning discovery that these perverts cannot be rehabilitated, here's a question for him - what does he propose we do about them? He won't allow us to execute them, he won't allow us to chemically castrate them (and I'm not sold on this either), and apparently he won't even allow us to imprison them. And if the child's parents were to gun the pervert down, Feiger would be the first one in front of the cameras howling about "vigilante justice" and the need to put the parents on Death Row, right along side all us folks who "destroyed wetlands" by putting a couple shovels full of dirt into a mud puddle in our back yards. (oh, and just for good measure take all our guns away).

So what does that leave us, according to Mr. Feiger? Just accept the fact that guys like Couey are going to prey on children, and hope that they don't decide to take ours this time? Turn our homes and communities into fortresses, and live like prisoners behind bars and gates, shunning all contact with other people out of fear for our lives, while the predators roam free? And we're supposed to call this civilization?

You are engaging in a bit of hyperbole here, are you not? Just a bit over the top in your wording. It's very interesting how you can speak to exactly what's in Mr. Feiger's mind, what his personal opinions are, and what he would or wouldn't do. Are you related to him? Are you channeling him? It's obvious you want to use Mr. Feiger as a whipping boy, however having watched him on various legal programs on TV, like Greta VanSustern's show on Fox, I have been reasonably surprise at some of the more hardline stances he has taken. He thought Scott Peterson guilty from the very start, and was happy when he was convicted and sentenced to death. Frequently, he takes a much more conservative stance than some of the other people on the programs. Sometimes he is more liberal in his opinions, but he is a mixed bag, not a johnny one note. My point being that you shouldn't put words in his mouth that he didn't speak, and why you've decided to use him as your dog to kick regarding this case is beyond me.

I used Feiger because his name had been brought up by you and by a previous poster. Yes, you're right that I singled him out, and I shouldn't have done that. But I used him as an example of what's so wrong with our court system these days, because in many ways he symbolizes the problems perfectly. JMO, of course.

This man Couey has been arrested 24 times in his life for burglary and sex charges. And why was he allowed to rack up such a record, and to cap his career off with this brutal murder of a nine-year-old girl? Because of our court system that is overrun with liberal attorneys and judges who truly believe that monsters like John Couey are the fault of all of us, who truly believe that they should not be executed or even put in prison, and that they shouldn't even be listed in registries of convicted sex offenders, so the people who have to live near them can never know about the wolves in their midst.

Because of these leftist lawyers and judges, the John Coueys of the world get released time and again back into society to continue their predations, only to be picked up again by the police the next time they steal or rape or kill. And while the liberals are making sure the John Coueys are free to carry out their lives of murder and mayhem with as little interruption as possible, they make it harder and harder for the police to continue to capture them by inventing whole new rights and classes of rights for them. And at the same time they make it harder and harder for us to defend ourselves from the John Coueys by constantly restricting our rights to keep and bear arms and to use deadly force in defense of our lives.

And when a John Couey finally goes "over the top" and a 9-year-old is butchered and discarded like a sack of garbage for the gators and the vultures to dine on, the liberals wring their hands, blame the girl's parents and grandparents for what happened, blame us for not having "compassion" for a John Couey, and sneer at us as a bunch of barbarians and vigilantes for demanding that something be done about these things that are allowed to roam in our midst, picking us off practically at will. And most hypocritically, they blame the police, even though they're the ones who tied the cops' hands behind their backs, shoved them into the water and told them to swim. Keep that in mind when you see the liberals and the ACLU holding candlelight vigils for John Couey and babbling about how Jeb Bush is steamrolling his civil rights.

Talk to any police office and they will tell you the same thing - over 90 percent of all violent crimes are committed by less than five percent of the population. Yet we cannot keep them behind bars, where at the very least they can't hurt those of us who choose to live within the law.

Since you correctly point out that I can't speak for Jeffrey Feiger, I'm going to put the question to you, then. What do you think should happen to John Couey if he's found guilty of murdering Jessica Lunsford?

"Since you correctly point out that I can't speak for Jeffrey Feiger, I'm going to put the question to you, then. What do you think should happen to John Couey if he's found guilty of murdering Jessica Lunsford?"

John Couey should be deader than a doornail. I'd love it if the father of the child was the one who could do him in. But of course that not being allowed, I hope he dies as fast as possible. They are on a suicide watch with this guy right now. I'd stop watching and provide him with the rope. I'd come back in about 1 hour and hope that he obliged everyone by bumping himself off. There, I think I've made myself quite clear.

I'm speaking for myself though, not for Mr. Feiger. As I said, Feiger was on MSNBC and stated that perverts like this cannot be rehabilitated. Seeing as he was speaking specifically to this case, I just found it odd that you chose him to beat up on, having read my post about what Feiger said. Otherwise, I am in perfect agreement with you about everything you said. I just don't like someone putting words in another person's mouth (even Feiger) that they haven't said, or express an opinion as if it is theirs, without knowing if it is. That's all.

I have a convicted child molester living next door to me. He tried to abduct my son, but my son ran to me. The police said they can't arrest him again since the abduction failed. My son is scared to play in his own yard. This man stands in his yard and watches my house every day. He will eventually sieze an opportunity to grab another child before long. Any sugestions on how to rid my neighborhhod of this pervert? It seems as though he has all the rights.
