You are engaging in a bit of hyperbole here, are you not?

I used Feiger because his name had been brought up by you and by a previous poster. Yes, you're right that I singled him out, and I shouldn't have done that. But I used him as an example of what's so wrong with our court system these days, because in many ways he symbolizes the problems perfectly. JMO, of course.

This man Couey has been arrested 24 times in his life for burglary and sex charges. And why was he allowed to rack up such a record, and to cap his career off with this brutal murder of a nine-year-old girl? Because of our court system that is overrun with liberal attorneys and judges who truly believe that monsters like John Couey are the fault of all of us, who truly believe that they should not be executed or even put in prison, and that they shouldn't even be listed in registries of convicted sex offenders, so the people who have to live near them can never know about the wolves in their midst.

Because of these leftist lawyers and judges, the John Coueys of the world get released time and again back into society to continue their predations, only to be picked up again by the police the next time they steal or rape or kill. And while the liberals are making sure the John Coueys are free to carry out their lives of murder and mayhem with as little interruption as possible, they make it harder and harder for the police to continue to capture them by inventing whole new rights and classes of rights for them. And at the same time they make it harder and harder for us to defend ourselves from the John Coueys by constantly restricting our rights to keep and bear arms and to use deadly force in defense of our lives.

And when a John Couey finally goes "over the top" and a 9-year-old is butchered and discarded like a sack of garbage for the gators and the vultures to dine on, the liberals wring their hands, blame the girl's parents and grandparents for what happened, blame us for not having "compassion" for a John Couey, and sneer at us as a bunch of barbarians and vigilantes for demanding that something be done about these things that are allowed to roam in our midst, picking us off practically at will. And most hypocritically, they blame the police, even though they're the ones who tied the cops' hands behind their backs, shoved them into the water and told them to swim. Keep that in mind when you see the liberals and the ACLU holding candlelight vigils for John Couey and babbling about how Jeb Bush is steamrolling his civil rights.

Talk to any police office and they will tell you the same thing - over 90 percent of all violent crimes are committed by less than five percent of the population. Yet we cannot keep them behind bars, where at the very least they can't hurt those of us who choose to live within the law.

Since you correctly point out that I can't speak for Jeffrey Feiger, I'm going to put the question to you, then. What do you think should happen to John Couey if he's found guilty of murdering Jessica Lunsford?

John Couey should be deader than a doornail. I'd love it if the father of the child was the one who could do him in. But of course that not being allowed, I hope he dies as fast as possible. They are on a suicide watch with this guy right now. I'd stop watching and provide him with the rope. I'd come back in about 1 hour and hope that he obliged everyone by bumping himself off. There, I think I've made myself quite clear.

I'm speaking for myself though, not for Mr. Feiger. As I said, Feiger was on MSNBC and stated that perverts like this cannot be rehabilitated. Seeing as he was speaking specifically to this case, I just found it odd that you chose him to beat up on, having read my post about what Feiger said. Otherwise, I am in perfect agreement with you about everything you said. I just don't like someone putting words in another person's mouth (even Feiger) that they haven't said, or express an opinion as if it is theirs, without knowing if it is. That's all.
