Terri Schiavo: 'I Waaaannt [To Live]'
Newsmax via Hannity ^ | Mar 18,2005 | Newsmax Staff

Posted on 03/18/2005 2:55:38 PM PST by spycatcher

A mentally disabled woman whose court ordered starvation-execution began Friday attempted to contradict her estranged husband's claim that she wants to die hours before her feeding tube was disconnected, an eyewitness is claiming.

Barbara Weller, an attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, told reporters Friday afternoon that during her visit earlier in the day she told Ms. Schiavo:

"Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over."

According to pro-life activist Randall Terry, who recounted the scene to radio host Sean Hannity, Schiavo tried desperately to repeat Weller's words.

"'I waaaaannt . . .' Schiavo allegedly said, in a prolonged yell that had police stationed nearby running into her hospice room.

"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Terry said, according to Weller's account.

At that point police ejected Weller, he said.

Even if she did say this, why on Earth would you assume she was doing anything more than mimicking what was spoken to her?

FIRST of all, I never said I believed it. Second of all, MIMICRY is a sign of COGNIZANCE, if not complete awareness. FINALLY, YOU "people" will apparently stop at nothing to ensure the death of an innocent woman who only needs nutrition. YOU "people" apparently give more creedence legally to a death row murderer who can live for YEARS with FOOD, WATER, SUNLIGHT, THERAPY, and MEDICAL CARE if needed, but are content to see a woman with no terminal illness sit in a room with little or no sunlight and no therapy for recovery, and are gleeful when her only sustenance via a feeding tube is removed.

Her "husband" who has gone on to have kids with someone else has never divorced her, and her PARENTS and other friends who've known her all her life say that Terri would NOT want to die by dehydration.

You're promoting a culture of death. I prefer life.

Bill Frist spoke on the floor of the Senate about a neurologist who has examined Terri. The neuroligist thinks Terri can be rehabilitated. But what the heck--let's just let her starve to death, eh? I don't think so.

There must be 100's of scenes just like this being played out in the U.S.

Of people being starved to death? God help us.

Why do they want her dead? Why does CNN want the poll to read that her husband can effectively kill her? What is to be gained here by establishing this precedent? What is in the pipeline coming down for a court decision about life and death?

What is to be gained as a society by lauding the sanctioning of death of innocents such as this?

Does anyone have any particulars?

Diddle...it's Michael who is the guardian and who won't allow video's, etc......

I HOPE someone can direct you to the direct link...it's out there, somewhere.

Have you gone to Terri's site??? It MIGHT be on there. I don't know.

Yeah, I am absolutely livid at the silence of the Catholic leaders in this. If she dies they lose a lot of moral credibility.

"I waaaannt, I waaaannt"

>Does the attorney have this on tape?<

The satanic trio (Michael, Greer and Felos) would not allow Terri to be taped uttering her desire to live.

I find it amazing, actually, that the mere fact that

she made any noise at all in response to a query doesn't give pause to the "kill Terri" crowd. She's a living, breathing human being. They think she should be starved to death.

It's mind-boggling. Where the hell are peoples' consciences?

I am of the opinion that the consciences of these people, especially the lawyers and judges, are under satanic influence. It is a grand diabolic disorientation preventing them from being able to determine what is good and what is evil. But that's just me.

Dear Lord in Heaven, I pray that you intervene and save this woman's life. I invoke the Prayer to St Jude in the name of Terri Schiavo.

Amen

You call it a "culture of death", I call it the "right of a legal guardian". She has been legally classified as being in a persistent vegitative state, and as such, her artificial life support may be removed by her guardian.

If this were true, it'd be all we'd see on the news.

You mean they'd be covering it like they did the Swift Boat Vets? Hmmm? All of the newsies were clammoring for the truth then too, right?

I am just skeptical of this sudden utterance reported only by her mother

It wasn't her mother. It was Barbara Weller.

That's just terrible... I heard on TV that her "husband" is in another relationship, and that even if they got a divorce, the court's ruling would still be upheld. It is absolutely wrong to not let camera's in there because of the huge impact it's having on this country. I realize that she needs her dignity and privacy... but what else would be the answer under these circumstances? (facts as they are)

Yeah...there are even cameras small enough to be disguised as a lapel pin...and I heard a while back that some can be rented to avoid the cost of buying a new one.
