A spokesperson for Michael Schiavo says Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was removed Friday with Michael in attendance.
He says a prayer service was held first, and that Michael was emotional and crying, saying he wanted to put the situation behind him.
Terri Schiavo's parents, the Schindlers, visited with Terri Friday morning, prior to the tube's removal.
Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court Judge George Greer denied two U.S. House of Representative emergency motions Friday, which allowed the tube's removal.
The first motion was to intervene in the case for the House Committee on Government Reform and the second motion was to push the date back nine days so it could conduct what it calls a field investigation concerning the healthcare of Schiavo.
A neurologist appeared at Terri Schiavo's Pinellas Park hospice center Friday with a TV screen to show video of patients he treated that were in worse condition than Schiavo and got better.

Just tell me....exactly when did otherwise HEALTHY PEOPLE, INNOCENT PEOPLE, but PEOPLE who cannot take food via mouth (maybe terri could but michael has not allowed a test for her in 12 years because that is when he started the 'she wants to die' routine, you remember, after the three years of great care, when she was drinking milkshakes and getting to go to malls in her wheelchair, the 'make nice photos for the jury so that I can get big money thingie, in other words)...BECOME WORTHY of a the EQUISITELY TORTUROUS DEATH OF GETTING TO BE STARVED AND DEHYDRATED?
Why are michael and greer and felos KILLING this OTHERWISE HEALTHY PERSON THIS WAY?
Did she HURT SOMEBODY?

Only for humans. Think how the left would howl if such a "procedure" were performed on a baby seal, kitten, or puppy?
It's said, that with God ALL things are possible. Well, I think it IS possible that God steps up to the plate and performs a 'miraculous' healing/raising up of Terri....wipe away her brain damage, give her the strength she needs to sit up and cuss out her tormentors.
So far, everyone has been looking/demanding to/of 'man' to help/solve her 'problems'. Maybe, we should be looking/demanding (righteously) God and Jesus to step in and just SKIP the 'man' middleman.
My prayers go out to those with colostomies. I'd hate to have someone else determine whether their life was worth living. I see little difference in being fed through a tube versus eliminating in a bag.

The parents tried to file for divorce on her behalf last week, but I don't think you can do that by proxy. And they can't move her because they are allowed to see her only when a guard (Michael's guard) is present.
Let me see ... the State of Florida has decided to abide by the wishes of Shiavo's husband and allow his wife, who has been in a brain damaged stupor bedridden and unable to heip herself in any way for fifteen years, to die. A woman who is fed by a tube, requires constant turning to prevent bed sores, who must have all her bodily functions cleaned up by others. In my opinion the State of Florida is finally doing what should have been done several years ago ... allow this poor women the dignity of dying.

Peggy Noonan's Opinion Journal piece opines that if the Republicans in Congress don't stop this murder, they will lose so big in the next election, it'll make the 1994 sweep look like child's play.

Yeah...what about the move by The Chairman of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pension (HELP) Committee, Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming) requesting that Terri Schiavo testify before his congressional committee? That seemed like a brilliant and unstoppable maneuver.
What is SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?: Protect the innocent, punish the guilty. If the LAW is not doing that, it's time for another revolution (hopefully a peaceful one, although that doesn't seem to be working, the conservative majorities notwithstanding).
Now here's a thought: We've tolerated the unjust death of 45 Million INNOCENT little babies with the full blessing of the law. These numbers have added up gradually, since the late 60's (abortion was legal in a few states pre-Roe v. Wade). NOW: Are we going to tolerate the death of non-terminal Terri Schiavo - with no written directive expressing a wish to die? Will we tolerate the next such person? And the ten after that? The hundred after that, the next thousand, the millions who will be killed?
Will those with a consistent ethic of justice tolerate a broadening of the criteria used to justify Terri's murder to include those very speical, very loving people with an extra chromasome? After all, they cost a lot of money and require great amounts of care; they are a drain on heath care. Who else becomes a candidate for the Terri treatment? What if we decide, for the good of mankind, to accelerate the defeat of recessive genes, for example? Where does this STOP?
CNN had up on the screen shortly after it was announced the feeding tube was removed that "House members continue to work on this case"
Go to Ryansreach.com. Read the story of Ryan, Pat Boone's grandson, who was severly head-injured in a fall. He has made incredible progress given his injuries. It's because he, unlike Teri, was not given up on. I think there may be a link to High Hopes Head Injury Program in Tustin, CA. there too. If so, visit it. You will see people that have made great progress, that could have been in the situation that Terri is in right now had they been given up on also.
"Was it a famous person who said "America will cease to be great if America ceases to be good?" I fear we might be at that point. Was it President Reagan who said that perhaps? He must be looking down from where he is and feeling some sadness right now.
