PRO-CHOICE HILLARY BACKS BILL TO REDUCE ABORTIONS
The Daily News ^ | 3/18/2005 | FREDRIC U. DICKER

March 18, 2005 -- ALBANY — Pro-choice Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton sought "common ground" again on the hot-button abortion issue yesterday, joining pro-life Harry Reid, the Senate Democratic leader, to back a measure she said would reduce abortions. "We can find not only common ground, but common sense in the 'Prevention First' amendment we are offering today," said Mrs. Clinton, touting a $100 million plan to expand access to contraception devices and birth-control information. Clinton raised eyebrows in pro-choice circles — and stimulated further talk of potential presidential ambitions for 2008 — in January with an Albany speech in which she called abortions a "sad, even tragic" choice for women and urged the pursuit of common ground with abortion foes. She sounded a similar theme as she and Reid presented their new proposal, saying, "Whether you are pro-life or pro-choice, our amendment advances goals we should all share: reducing the number of unintended pregnancies, reducing the number of abortions and improving access to women's health care."

"Whether you are pro-life or pro-choice, our amendment advances goals we should all share: reducing the number of unintended pregnancies, reducing the number of abortions..."

We all share the goal of reducing the number of unintended pregnancies and reducing the number of abortions. Isn't it true that Planned Parenthood finances their activities by performing abortions? Isn't it true that they have publically attacked women's health centers that don't offer abortions?

They can't be very happy about Hillary's comments.

maybe instead of murdering 1,500,000 babies we'll now only murder 1,200,000 babies per year

Then why won't she support any programs encouraging abstinence?

Let's see Hilliary try to finesse her way out of that one...

What this will amount to is just the same as the video now making its rounds in public schools.

In what was supposed to be an abstinence video (using government funds), abstinence gets mentioned 7 times. Things like how to put on a condom, oral and anal sex gets mentioned dozens of times. I've forgotten the name of the video but Laura Ingraham has been all over the story.

So Hillary will suggest something, using government funds, to promote abstinence, but in actuality it will promote gay sex and safe sex.

They are calling this (Internally at least) Birth Control Fairness, and saying it will cost 100 million dollars.

Birth Control Fairness? Now, that's a new one. ;)

Got my own plan. Give each teen aged potential abortion victim a buck and instructions to hold it firmly between her knees.

Why is it that every new 'plan' always has at least a 100 million dollar price tag and no details at all on how they are going to spend it?

Hey here is a radial idea: Define Birth Control Fairness first!

Is it free birth control pills?
Already being done.

Free prophylactics?
Available.

Free Doctors?
Ditto.

Counseling?
The same and don't even have to tell mom OK?

Hey, how about we use cucumbers to show how to put on a .... No, that's being done already too.

What's next and in detail please.

They can't be very happy about Hillary's comments.

Don't think for one minute that they are unhappy with what she has been saying.

She will say anything to get elected and Planned predators, those baby raping bastards know that if she is elected, they will be in a far better postion.

So they will tolerate her rhetoric because they know what she says is far from what she will do.

And by the way, Hillary will run in 2008 as .....TADA....A Republican!!!!!!!!

Increased funding to "expand access to contraception devices and birth-control information" will not reduce the number of abortions. It will, however, increase the spread of STDs.

If Hillary wants the federal government to pay for "access" to contraception & birth control information, when will she and her liberal cohorts introduce a bill to pay for "access" to abortions as well? Hillary Clinton is dangerous and must be stopped.

As long as the "solution" involves spending federal bucks Hillary will be for it. Don't be surprised to hear that she also thinks universal, gov't paid for daycare would also cut abortions. The solutions she won't support are any that involve people actually changing their behavior.

So they will tolerate her rhetoric because they know what she says is far from what she will do.

They will yell and scream for public consumption, to give people who aren't paying very close attention the idea that Hillary is more conservative than she used to be. All the while, they'll still be funneling money and support to her, under the radar screen.

The loons will come out for a liar. But she won't get enough votes to win that way. Especially post-Bubba and after 9-11.

Is there any kid in public school in America who has not already been thoroughly educated in the mechanics of birth control and provided access to free contraceptives? What are they going to do, cancel all math classes so they can dedicate 10 hours a week, each week, to putting condoms on bananas?

A parent would have to be insane to feed their child into the maw of the public school system.
