Per front page of Drudge

**Exclusive Fri Mar 18 2005 00:50:07 ET** The Chairman of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pension (HELP) Committee, Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming) has requested Terri Schiavo to testify before his congressional committee, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. In so doing it triggers legal or statutory protections for the witness, among those protections is that nothing can be done to cause harm or death to this individual.

Wonder what Judge Greer will do now. He seems to be doing his durndest to ignore the actual facts in the case. Will he rule that Terri is incapable of testifying and therefore should be killed anyway?

she might even get an ego/morale boost from her intellectual superiority

"Shiavo who is brain-dead, can have feeding tubes removed
from her tomorrow by her husband....."

Genius. If Shiavo was "brain-dead" she would be on life-support, and removing the feeding tube wouldn't even be necessary.

Yes, then sentence her to house arrest at her parents' home!

Did anyone catch Senator Frist's speech at close of business in the Senate tonight on Terri.

He mentioned that he had read all the affidavits and viewed the tapes of Terri.

He quoted at length from medical texts on the diagnosis of this type of condition.

Dr. Frist's judgment was that Terri was NOT in a permanent vegetative state. Sounds like the Senate will get its act together.

(sorry for double post....first one was truncated for some reason.....)

I don't know as even Judge Greer would try to go against the Feds.

I would suspect that if the congressman suspects she may
be harmed, they can ALSO put her under ARMED GUARD until then.

Worth repeating:
Judge Greer and Michael Schiavo have just been out-lawyered!

I do believe the hearing can be held anywhere, or they can make arrangements for her to give her "testimony" by video, etc.

And we all know how notoriously long it can take to get these things scheduled . . . scheduled, rescheduled, scheduled, rescheduled . . . Senators are busy people, you know . . .

I guess it's too much to hope that this committee investigates corruption in high places in Florida (if that isn't an oxymoron!)

"Right to die case" --- oh, please, FNC.

This is a right to kill case, and it's dear old hubby who wants to do the killing.

I think you are right, however, he certainly has gone against common sense.

I mean do they investigate judicial corruption. If not, how about hospice rackets?

She needs to be in the witness protection program.

I see. Then they'll ask her questions, and when she doesn't answer, they'll hold her in Contempt of Congress, and order that she be placed under house arrest, but remanded to the custody of her parents.

Bread and circuses...

he certainly has gone against common sense.

That he has. He's certainly been a man with an agenda.
