Onyx's husband fell thru a glass door and severed an artery in his arm this morning. He almost bled to death while waiting for 911 to come, but they made it.
They've been at the hospital since noon, with him in and out of surgery. They are back in surgery now, with 3 surgeons trying to repair a lot of torn and severed veins and archeries. He's lost a lot of blood, they've given him 6 pints so far.
It's very complicated, but those are the basics.
Praying from W.Texas
Saying prayers for your husband now.
Prayers for your husband's complete recovery, and for your peace of mind.
Prayers are going up!
Prayers for healing
Remember what Tony Snow said about being able to actually feel our prayers? I hope Onyx can too...
Praying for peace and rest for Onyx and a complete and speedy recovery for her husband. Bless their hearts!
Definitely.
I just talked to onyx; things have settled down there.
He has strength in his arm and he can move his fingers; he's in his room, "out of the woods," (he said that himself!), and she is so grateful to everybody who has sent prayers for them.
She, on the other hand, sounds like she is on crack! She is jacked to the max; I suggested she walk down the hall and take a "hit" off the first thing she saw hooked up to a patient!
bd476 is a gem, isn't he?
Yes. So is Onyx.
(sorry, couldn't resist)
prayers for quick recovery for everyone...emotionally as well as physically. God bless you, Onyx, with patience and endurance.
Am sending up a prayer immediate for your hubby....and for you.
LOL! Good idea!
Did she ever go to sleep? I haven't talked to her since this morning, but she was wired then, too. Nervous energy. That's why I wanted her to take the sedative they gave her. Not that I could have, either...
Having a feverish day here, too, with our lil Shih Tzu - on my way to the vet, so I wont be able to catch up here til later. (But I'll post an update when she calls next, if I'm home.)
Travis said wardaddy is having surgery today.
Thanks for this report - my prayers were sent earlier - I am just checking in to hear the good report.
I haven't read the rest of the thread - where are they? I know they're in the process of moving. If she's here in San Diego - I'll try to make contact with her.
Thanks again.
Prayers for wardaddy today too.....
No, she has not slept; she is going home as soon as the doctor comes in; she has to get the door fixed and do some cleaning.
I'm late to the thread- glad to read that things are going better for Mr Onyx.
The good people of Freeperville have been going through some tough times lately-best wishes to Onyx and her husband, Jeff Head and wardaddy for speedy recoveries and condolences to Jim Robinson.
