Doug from Upland was just on Sean's show he was great. Defended Hannity and said there are a few freepers who need to get it together or something to that effect. Our mission as freepers to knock out Hillary according to Doug.

"I wonder if Peggy realizes it's a whole new world out there. We can be attacked from literally any wack-job in the world with the resources to do so. We have to be super-on guard and thank God GW realizes that. I'm not so sure Noonan does."
Agreed! She used to write in broad strokes so I thought she would understand GWB's Inaugural address.

Great job, then, Doug. Hannity is one hell of a great guy, and those here who insist on trashing him (it really isn't that many, all things considered) need to just shut their pie holes.
I'd take Hannity on my side ANY day, and I appreciate Doug's efforts in getting the message across to Sean and his audience that the overwhelming majority of FReepers feel exactly the same way. Hannity is one of us, period.
To: Luddite Patent Counsel
You are 100% correct. The fact that Hannity has such a large audience, and the ferocious butt-kissing by some here, just prove that Barnum was right.

Well, they do all repeat the same litany every 15 minutes actually. I was just reading the exchange between Medved and Alan Keyes yesterday and before and after he broke for commercials he repeated who he was talking to, Keyes' background, the topic and the question - "for those who are just tuning in" - so to speak. That what I took "repeating" to mean.
Even the master - Rush - is very repetitive and you just want him to get to the point - but it is all part of the show.

Congrats, Doug! We need Sean and he needs us. A Conservative house divided cannot stand....
The good news is, neither can a split DNC house! AMEN

RE:Noonan's article today -- that may well be her intent.
I defended her on numerous FR threads the subject of which was her article on the president's inaugural address. I disagree with her assessment of that address, but I've read all of her published works and feel that she's a terrific conservative patriot. She's a die-hard friend of this president. She's an extremely decent person.
All that said, I think it is interesting to see certain conservative commentators with their knickers in a twist because some of us agree with what they say and some of us don't. The thought that we should march in lockstep to the tune they play is absolutely ludicrous, as is their seeming need to accuse those who disagree with them as being "divisive."
Get real. I've got a darned fine brain and I intend to use it. If Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or Peggy Noonan or Tom, Dick and Harry say I should believe X, Y, and Z and that I'm traitorous if I don't, then they've got the problem, not me.
These folks have placed themselves in the public eye. They make a fine living at it. That's very admirable and I don't begrudge them a nickel of it.
My only suggestion to them is to get a thicker skin and remember that conservatism welcomes those who think independently.
To: keysguy
I don't take marching orders from either Doug or Sean.
Mine come from a higher authority.
To: keysguy
I don't see anyone alienating Sean.
However, when he gets an original thought (i.e.-not stolen from Rush), do tell me.
To: Endeavor
You make some very good points about not following the herd when you think they are wrong.
Back in the day (before the Internet) the Democrats were much better at keeping their differences private and it seemed like the Republicans were always airing theirs - but now everything is out there - for all to see. It just doesn't have to be so vicious all the time - we are all on the same side - right?

Yes, we are. I don't think pointing out frustrations with those who represent our side publicly is unconscionable though.
Does it get a bit testy in here at times? It sure does. The point is, these folks place themselves in the public eye and then some of them cry when the public doesn't march right behind them. They also try to exert their control by calling those who criticize them as traitorous to "the cause."
I don't buy that. All here who are true conservatives are going to continue to work for those values and those in politics who represent those values regardless of how they feel about Sean Hannity or Ann Coulter or Charles Krauthammer or ... fill in the blank.
I think this line of "If you criticize me you are tearing down the conservative effort" is a wounded (and lame) attempt to lash out and control peoples' responses.
To: Endeavor
I feel the same frustrations at times. I don't want to control anyone's responses and I can't stand being told not to express my opinion on a topic or a person - particularly on this site!
Have a great evening - I have 2 little ones to get bathed and in bed!

Can anyone name 1 so called MAIN Stream Right Wing Media
personality
(we know Russert on tv and Imus on radio from the Left have)
that has asked,
in 2005,
these questions?
"Asked Kerry when he will sign Form 180.
(Even though President Bush signed his Form 180)
Or how could Kerry have a top secret clearance,
and access to US intelligence
WITHOUT revealing ALL his military records to the US Senate
Who in the US Senate has seen ALL of Kerry's military records?
Who, in the US Senate, gave him his top secret clearance?
Or why Kerry is still in the US Senate.
This is in violation of
U.S. Constitution Amendment 14 Sec 3
http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.amendmentxiv.html
Or when Kerry will set the record straight
on his false testimony in April 71"

Well, let's see...
Rush: Major drug problem (remedied, thank goodness)
Newt: Women problems (but a great guy outside of that)
Bill O'Reilly: Blowhard (but half the time he's right)
President Bush (1st term): Weak conservative idology
I don't have a problem with holding such people accountable. In the end, it keeps everyone strong.
