This type of heart surgery is considered elective and must be fit into the scheduled, alotted time period for elective surgeries in the operating room. When my husband had his heart surgery, he spent a whole day waiting in pre-op because the emergencies take priority. Scheduling is always difficult no matter who you are.

You know that Saddam and Bubba are not even in the same ball park. It takes the moral relativism of the fever swamps to equate the two. Just like when DU calls Dubya the "real terrorist" and blames him for Sen. Wellstone's death. As so many have said, this is not DU -- the vast majority of us hope and pray for Clinton's complete recovery.

Probably not an issue.....

Thorascopic decortication is a minimally invasive procedure....A lot of blood loss would be unusual.

Congestive heart failure is not treated surgically.

I know that......but in mothers case it was caused by a bad valve and 3 blockages....so they did treat it surgically.
