My husband just so cracked me up I have to tell yall. He is pathololgist and routinely sees this stuff in surgery. I described the problem and asked him if it was bad. He muttered and started saying how really bad this was. I told him that others said it wasn't that bad. And he said, this is what cracked me up, "you don't know how hard it makes the autopsy after something like this"
To: ChadGore
Because he could.
But seriously- best wishes for a speedy recovery for the former Prez.

(And they consider our good wishes merely fundie self-rightousness) That's the difference between having a fixed objective sense of right and wrong and a sliding scale of relative morality based on subjective feelings.
People with an objective sense of morality recognize that their feelings can lead them to do wrong. Which is why we are biting our tongues over here.
People who let their feelings guide their morality and their actions can never do wrong, in their own eyes. That is why they can give vent to their hatred and rage against their political opponents when they die or fall ill without the slightest guilt or shame.

'My guess would be it's a pleural effusion... ( sometimes a symptom of CHF..) that's causing some volume loss in his left lung. Not scar tissue....which doesn't make any sense...based o'n the info.'
That is what I am thinking as well....this is not good news for President Clinton. Hope he is ok. (I can't wish for anything else)

Actually, on that point... this is one of those times I'm really glad my religion doesn't require me to pray for my enemies. Which religion is that? And what *do* you do concerning enemies? Just ignore them?

Yeah, I wondered what "balming" the floor was -- I thought it might be like covering a road with palm branches :-/

KRLA says that the lower lobe of his left lung has collapsed. Great irony...its his left side giving him the problems.
I am surprised at the delay til Thursday for treatment though.

Thanks, Miss Behave. Why the docs are waiting until Thursday is curious.

I just thought of this...why would they send two ex-Presidents ON SUCH A LONG FLIGHT on a plane, with only one bunk? Does that make sense? Is this 'Bubba gave up the bunk' just urban legend? This was in this week's Newsweek but I think the story needs clarification. What I read between the lines was that the plane had one bedroom, not one bed, and it was prearranged that 41 would have the bedroom since Slick wanted to stay up and play cards. Presumably, there were daybeds or convertible sofas but Slick decided to sleep on the floor instead. Story definitely needs an explanation...

"Are you saying Clinton and Saddam Hussein are equals in your eyes? How can you say that?"I see them both as evil men who've conspired to spread lies, corruption, and chaos in this world.
Do you disagree?
To: Howlin
Mr Clinton needs to realize his need to follow doctors' recommendations as to rest and his need to take it easy until he completely heals.
A pox on his aides for encouraging him to resume too much too soon.
Prayers for his recovery.

Bubba hasn't been looking too good recently. ~ Tijeras_Slim
I don't know, Howlin...he just hasn't been looking well at all lately. ~ spectre (Spectre's wife)
Let's hope he lives a long number of years.
It's unlikely he has found redemption just yet. ~ Incorrigible
Bubba has proven gracious to GH over the past month. Prayers for Bubba's health. ~ freebillyI agree; he just never looked right; and the times he did, he looked heavily "doctored" to me.
I know plenty who have had this operation and NONE of them have had this type of recovery and/or trouble. He's not robust looking at all. ~ Howlin
Quite frankly, since losing the power he enjoyed as President, you can clearly see he is not a happy man. I could see it all over his gaunt, dejected face in Seoul even over his book signing there last week--which should have been a happy event.
...
I hope he fully repents for his sins, lies, assaults and corruptions, for his own eternal sake, and wish him the best on his journey that we all have to make some day. ~ AmericanInTokyo
IMHO, he had a near death experience and a preview of coming attractions. Perhaps he will repent in time?

Actually considering the megalomania, the vengeful murderousness, the manipulativeness of both, there are a lot of parallels. Don't ascribe virtue to a tyrant just because of the particular government in which he/she festers. And don't give an evil unrepentant man or woman WORMAN a free pass out of sympathy. We are to love the sinner but HATE the sin. And those who claim to be believers but are proven false are to be treated as unbelievers (as mission fields for evangelizing, NOT as infidels for assassination!) Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Bill & Hillary all come right to mind. Nonetheless, I pray for God's will and timing in all these mortal things....
