March for Justice Thread I ^ | March 21, 2005 | Jim Robinson

Judicial tyranny must end! The filibuster must be broken! The full Senate must have an up or down vote on the president's judicial nominees! We must not allow the Democrat obstructionists the privilege of controlling the confirmation process!
No more liberal activists on the bench!
Enough is enough!!
We will be marching on Washington on April 7th to send a message to all three branches of government. We hope to have delegations from every state of the union present to meet their respective senators and hand deliver our letters, demands and petitions of grievance.

"Apple patches Mac OS X flaws"
Published: March 21, 2005, 5:18 PM PST
By Robert Lemos
Staff Writer, CNET News.com
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Apple Computer has released nearly a dozen fixes for flaws in its Mac OS operating system, including a script for preventing phishers from fooling users of its Safari browser.
The script, released Monday, tackles a pernicious phishing problem in browsers. The loophole could allow an attacker to use certain characters from different languages to create legitimate-looking Web addresses that actually send victims to malicious Web sites. The security problem affected all browsers that supported Internationalized Domain Names, or IDN, and is not Apple-specific."

"Rendition Foes 'Woefully Uninformed,' Former CIA Agent Says"
By Randy Hall
CNSNews.com Evening Editor
March 21, 2005
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "(CNSNews.com) - As both houses of Congress consider legislation aimed at ending the practice of detaining terrorism suspects in foreign countries -- commonly called "rendition" -- a former Central Intelligence Agency official who helped establish that process said its opponents are "woefully uninformed."
Michael Scheuer, who until last November was a senior official with the CIA, told Cybercast News Service he considers the bills introduced to outlaw rendition "nonsense" and said that the lawmakers sponsoring them were "either woefully uninformed, or they're horses' a****."
Massachusetts Democratic Congressman Ed Markey's effort to ban rendition advanced in the House last week when he was able to amend the bill earmarking an extra $82 billion for the military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Markey's amendment prohibits the Bush administration from using any of the $82 billion for purposes involving rendition."

My heart, at the moment, is overloaded with sadness over Terri Schiavo. :-(
"March madness" in Chicago.
Thanks for the Chicago ping.
Thanks be to God!
I'm so happy that things well.
Thank you, Velveeta. We were all relieved when he came barreling down the hall in his bed, directing the nurses on his post-op care (he's an engineer - figures). We knew he'd be fine after that.
LOL, that's wonderful!
