Yeah---that is what has bummed me out about the entry of these under-educated, over-paid folks into the personal political viewpoint crap. Those actors whom it has been so much fun to watch on the big screen, critique and follow during Oscar night no longer hold appeal.
The myth could live as long as we didn't know their actual thinking. As long as they were the characters in their scripts, we could pretend along with them. Thinking that if they could portray such marvelous characters on screen, surely they were somewhat AOK in reality.
But now-we know too much about them...we know their shallow character, their neediness to belong to a group think full of liberal selfishness, their inability to grow-up (not talking about Mel, Ronnie, John Wayne, Elvis, and scores of those who through their actions and dignity kept politics where it belongs.)
So many I admired have shattered the fun because I cannot get past their horrrific political viewpoints. Can't even believe I don't want to see Meryl or Robin etc anymore. But there it is.
Still....I am LOVING this hilarious, cynical, marvelous review of a thread!
Larua Ingraham has it right in her book "Shut up and Sing", and so do , our FR protesters tonight in LA, who are holding signs that say "Shut up and ACT". LOL! And RIGHT ON!
These creepy people don't deserve my money at the box office and won't be receiving it, for sure.

I wonder if she looked at her chest and came up with the name for the baby. No, I guess not; she would've named it Nothing.

I agree. It's all about themselves.
Sad.

Al Baby - lemmee save you some time - same result - fill a salt shaker 3/4 full of white sugar - dump some Cinnamon in and shake it - add more if necessary - once its kind of tan - cap it and you're ready to go! Make toast. Butter it. Shake your Cinnamon shaker over it "to taste" - Skip the re-heat - just eat it! I'd recommend a glass of whole milk for best results - put the milk in a glass - not on the toast! ;-)

Is there no wit left in Hollywood that isn't about sex or politics? It wasn't even funny
it was stupid as heck

HERE'S THE THREAD. I have done some automotive writing in my time and have written for GREEN CAR JOURNAL, the finest magazine of its kind and published by my brother. We were answering questions about green vehicle technology. I have been sick and left the gig early.

It was a nice tribute to Carson. Nothing is going to be good when you expect too much and dissect what is offered.
