Almost 50 percent of Americans, according to recent polls, and millions of people elsewhere in the world believe that UFOs are real. For many it is a deeply held belief.
For decades there have been sightings of UFOs by millions and millions of people. It is a mystery that only science can solve, and yet the phenomenon remains largely unexamined. Most of the reporting on this subject by the mainstream media holds those who claim to have seen UFOs up to ridicule.
On Feb. 24, "Peter Jennings Reporting: UFOs Seeing Is Believing" takes a fresh look at the UFO phenomenon. "As a journalist," says Jennings, "I began this project with a healthy dose of skepticism and as open a mind as possible. After almost 150 interviews with scientists, investigators and with many of those who claim to have witnessed unidentified flying objects, there are important questions that have not been completely answered and a great deal not fully explained."
"Peter Jennings Reporting: UFOs Seeing Is Believing" airs Thursday, Feb. 24 from 8-10 p.m. ET on ABC. The program will be broadcast in High Definition.
This two-hour primetime special reports on the entire scope of the UFO experience from the first famous sighting by Kenneth Arnold in 1947 to the present day. The program draws on interviews with police officers, pilots, military personnel, scientists and ordinary citizens who give extraordinary accounts of encounters with the unexplained. Also included are the voices of professional skeptics about UFOs, including scientists who are leading the search for life forms beyond Earth elsewhere in the universe.
The program explores the facts behind the enduring mystery of the incident at Roswell, N.M., and looks into the strange stories of alien abductions. Among the UFO cases presented:
Minot Air Force Base, N.D., October 1968 Sixteen airmen on the ground and the crew of an airborne B-52 witness a massive unidentified object hovering near the base.
Phoenix, March 1997 Hundreds witness a huge triangular craft moving slowly over the city.
St. Clair County, Ill., January 2000 Police officers in five adjoining towns all independently report witnessing a giant craft with multiple bright lights moving silently across the sky at a very low altitude.
Today if you report a UFO to the U.S. government you will be informed that the Air Force conducted a 22-year investigation that ended in 1969 and concluded that UFOs are not a threat to national security and are of no scientific interest. But as one of the world's leading theoretical physicists says in the program, "You simply cannot dismiss the possibility that some of these UFO sightings are actually sightings from some object created by a civilization perhaps millions of years ahead of us in technology."
"Peter Jennings Reporting: UFOs Seeing Is Believing" is produced by PJ Productions and Springs Media for ABC News. Mark Obenhaus and Tom Yellin are the executive producers.
I believe that UFOs are real. I just have my doubts about them being alien spacecraft... They could be, mistaken identities, natural phenomna or even experimental aircraft.
However, there are some really cool videos of a UFO from Mexico City that is worth considering.
Sorry, I missed the name of the Japanese prof. Didn't seem to be their best UFO expert--whom I've met.
And I can't remember his name, either.
Don't know if he has a website. The program was advertised to be on DVD in the scrolling credits at the end.
The fact that everyone in the world now seems to pack around a digital camera wherever they go, I suspect it won't be too long before we start getting some decent pics of these craft, or whatever they are. I get frustrated watching TV specials about UFOs, and seeing the stereotypical blurry speck of light off in the distance.
Some actually claim somethink akin to that and assert that the Biblical references to reptiles refers to them.
The whole field is so full of complexity, smoke, mirrors, disinformation etc. . . . God alone knows the whole reality.
imho.
You know, I still don't believe them. And frankly, I don't want to believe them. I don't like dealing with the unknown. It would terrify me.
THE ANDRAESON AFFAIR . . . Let me see . . .
Happy to mail you my copy of THE ANDRAESSON AFFAIR--PHASE TWO by Ramond Fowler
if you'll FREEPMAIL me a snailmail addy.
I'm divesting myself of my UFO library, and planning to return to ASIA to teach by fall classes, if The Lord continues to confirm His grace to do so.
My relative had a highly classified job wherein he saw craft on a virtually daily basis decades ago.
You have just entered the Twilight Zone, fully staffed by American Liberals.
There's a FREEPER who ran into some photos at the USA shop of some Mexico City relatives from that sighting series. Crystal clear photos. We are trying to see if and when he might travel back to that USA location and see if he can get copies and post them.
See the reply I just made.
Have a look at this:

Most Christian books on the subject assert that that is ALL it ALL is.
But the facts indicate that's NOT !ALL! ALL of it is.
As I noted above, my relative's colleagues were not servicing demonic materializations when they worked on the nuts and bolts craft. Though there are evidently precious few nuts and bolts, if any.
There are likely multiple sources and types of craft. Some likely ARE demonic materializations. But not all of them.
Oh, well. Never mind.

Sorry....It's Andromeda.....Milkey Way pic's are
"edge on" only.
There have been tons of decent photos. All ferretted away.
Some slip through from time to time. We shall see. We are trying to get copies of some of the Mexico flap.
Too true.
Not long ago a high ranking general was quoted as saying very seriously:
IF YOU CAN IMAGINE IT, WE CAN DO IT.
Others have asserted very seriously that we have multiples of 10 NUMBERS OF DIFFERENT WEAPONS SYSTEMS
ALL
50 YEARS
ahead of anyone else.
Incredible statements even if partially true.
Anything for a ratings point or two. Pathetic.
"We"....meaning me and a bunch of my neighbors back in October of "99" saw lights coming from the east (we live in Clinton NJ) and then circling around.....there were about 6 of them. Never saw anything like that in my life.....OK....I know it sounds nuts...but it gets better....I ran to the phone and told the operator to get me NASA....yes NASA....she sent me to Kennedy Space Center...I couldn't believe it....so who ever I reported this to told me I have to report this to my local sheriff....I thought to myself "local sheriff???? I drink beers with my local sheriff"....that was the end of that call....I still to this day (and we weren't drinking at the time) remember exactly what it looked like...never to be explained....even from the local observatory:-)

Ironically with the proliferation of digital technology, I think such photos would be called by the debunkers "Photoshop Hoaxes". And probably the majority of them would be.
Swamp gas. ;-)
