Wonderful! Now they appear to claim the "Right" to donate blood. What other 'Rights' will be next. Any suggestions?

aware of our strong opposition to the policy that bans sexually active homosexual males from ever donating blood, and that the students are dedicated to equal treatment and opportunity for all people, regardless of sexual orientation.
Fair enough, take it - just make sure to label it for liberals only.

The resolution states that were going to try and find someone else to take our blood. I have no problem with this as long as these UNH college student stipulate that should they need a blood transfusion it cannot come from the Red Cross blood banks. Only blood that is donated by gay men can be used.

I don't understand Nicholas Christiansen's objection to the ban. Borrowing from liberal reasoning, if just one life is saved through this policy, it will be worth continuing the ban.

They need some slogan to convey the idea that sodomy is more important than a healthy blood supply... how about
"S--- is thicker than Blood!"

Let them donate all the blood they want, say 8-9 quarts, then destroy the blood within 48 hours. If unable to destroy then mark it the blood as donated from a deadly source any only allow it to be donated to other openly gay persons.

American
servicemen who were stationed in Europe in the 1990s are also banned from giving blood. Is that discrimination as well?
I think that if he knew servicemen are banned he would drop his opposition to the policy because he wouldn't want to be on the same side as the military. Just my opinion.

F---ing IDIOTS. The test for the HIV virus is for the presence of antibodies. There is a short period of time that an individual can be infected but his antibody titer is not sufficient to be detected. Active homosexuals and iv drug abusers should never be allowed to give blood for this reason.
To allow them to donate would be "Murder due to Political Correctness."

Not only that, but has anyone noticed the Red Cross bears a religious symbol, one like the Los Angeles city seal used to have before it was banned? How can church-state separation abide an organization with such religious overtones being endorsed by a public university? Shameful!

wow1 that's kewl. let's just contaminate the blood supply. (/s)

A 19 y.o. illiterate, PC-raised brat! Maybe he needs to go somewhere to get a real education! Try a hosptial wing that treats AIDS patients, especially the ones who have received tainted blood, and maybe this guy would learn the sorrows of those who did nothing wrong, but will die from this lifestyle disease b/c those with promiscuous lifestyles think they can do anything they want with no consequences. As a nurse, every time I read one of these I want to throttle the author and his stupid parents or former teachers who think they are so "with it" and sophisticated! When will this stupidity end?

UNH student wants to ban Red Cross blood drives from campus Someone should ask these idiots if they would be willing to sign leagal papers stating that if they ever need a blood transfusion that the RED CROSS can REFUSE giving blood to them
To: Lorianne
Since my car insurance company charges extra premiums for only allowing "genuine manufacturer replacement parts", should I now expect that my health insurance premiums may go up to ensure only heterosexual blood will be used during transfusions where I am the recipient?

Well, I mean if the Red Cross can't help spread those super virilant strains of HIV out into the innocent general public, just what are they good for anyways?

It's not enough that these idiots want to spread HIV-AIDS to each other, they want to spread it to the rest of us, as well! Level the playing field, so to speak. Just another part of the homosexual agenda, or am I being paranoid?

Why doesn't New Hampshire merely mandate ALL it's citizenry be injected
directly with the AIDS virus?
That way the the tainted blood wouldn't be such a bother.
