On the radio as breaking so far!
Were the attorneys for DCF at the hearing today? I heard they were at the hearing.
Maybe, ala George Wallace, he could take state troopers and barricade the hospice from anyone who would take out the tube. (I think that George was morally wrong in his case, but Jeb would be absolutely in the moral right.)
Don't get it then.
Apparently, the Clearwater population is 2-1 in favor of Michael R. Schiavo, a popular nurse. Armed with such majorities, George W. "Haman" Greer is unworried about the ramifications of his actions.
It doesn't say it rests with the husband per se. It rests with the guardian. Michael is Terri's legal guardian although he has fooled around on her for years, some previous to her collapse, and much more so afterwards. He's a little bit like Bill Clinton in that regard. Since 1997 he has been openly living with another woman, Jodi Centonze, who is his fiancee (while his current wife is still alive and bedridden?) and has two children with her.
Terri's family has been trying to gain guardianship of Terri because Michael has not allowed her rehab for her condition, for which a $1.2million award was given from a malpractice suit in 1992. The problem is, Judge Greer will not allow the guardianship case to move forward, and he does nothing to reprimand Michael in any way for not showing up at prviously scheduled court-recorder attended depositions.
Michael is responsible for why Terri is no longer making the progress she did soon after her collapse. Since that is against guardianship rules, why is he still her guardian? Only because of this judge. Michael is cruel beyond compare, and should be jailed for his mistreatment of his bedridden wife.
Suzanne Terri's sister is on the Schnitt show right now. I wasn't a court today. I don't know who was there. I was at Hospice. If DCF was there, that's good.
He always makes his rulings late on Friday afternoons, when everyone seems to be shutting down for the weekend.
Oh, some people are so anxious that they are wishing more was able to be done...and so people who aren't doing things visibly sometimes get treated like they aren't working...contribute it to the great anxiety so many of us feel about what's going on. I believe that if there is something Jeb Bush can directly and legally do, that has a chance of succeeding, he will do it. His track record proves that he cares.
Does this mean he's planning to rule against Terri again, and wants as little press coverage as possible?
Bump #54
Thank God! Pray people, this has to be the work of God...
Schiavo deadline extended
Terri Schiavo's feeding tube cannot be pulled until Friday at the earliest, Judge George Greer decided today. The emergency stay will remain in place until 5 p.m. that day while the judge considers new arguments.

There's NO plug to pull! We've got to get rid of this misinformation one by one! Terri has a simple feeding tube!
Ok. I understand better now. Thanks. Don't know why the judge keeps dragging his feet, then.
One of the largest employers in Pinellas County is the Hospice. This is about industry, and money.
What's DCF? Department of Children and Families?
I just realized. He is playing games again. Friday isn't enough time and if Greer lifts the stay on Friday, the Supreme Court isn't in session until Monday.
Also, they love to put out bad news on Friday, they figure it will get buried over the weekend. Plus maybe Judge Greer hopes Terri will die over the week-end without food and water. And he and his cronies will say it is fate.
We need to keep up the pressure, the media, the government, anyone we can think of. I'm beginning to think like these evil men. It's scary.
If he was serious, he could have left the stay until the Supreme Court heard the newest brief. Friday really bothers me. It also lets the legislature get out of town without passing the new law for the disabled that they are discussing in committee.
