McCain: Hillary Would Be Good President
NewsMax.com ^ | Feb. 20, 2005 | Carl Limbacher

Posted on 02/20/2005 8:29:47 AM PST by Carl/NewsMax

Maverick Republican Sen. John McCain said Sunday that his New York colleague, Sen. Hillary Clinton, would do well if she becomes president of the United States.

"I am sure that Sen. Clinton would make a good president," McCain told NBC's "Meet the Press," as both he and Clinton were being interviewed from Baghdad.

While noting that as a Republican, he'll be supporting the GOP nominee in 2008, McCain reiterated, "I have no doubt that Sen. Clinton would make a good president."

Asked whether she thought McCain would make a good president, Sen. Clinton was somewhat less effusive, responding tersely, "Absolutely" - before erupting in her familiar cackle.

The question which John McCain needs to asked is:

WHO, in your opinion would NOT make a good President?

I agree that John McCain, along with all the other POW's--some who survived and many who didn't, deserve our undying gratitude and admiration for their sacrifice. No matter how much is written about the unspeakable torture they experienced I know that words could never even begin to describe what they experienced. It's beyond our comprehension.

However, either senility is setting in or he could have brain damage from his torture. Has there been any discussion on the answer he gave at the Iraq press conference yesterday morning when he was asked when our troops would be leaving Iraq? I watched it.

He said we still have troops in Kosovo--I didn't know any politician still realized that--they were coming home that first Christmas, according to Clinton, weren't they?

He said we also still have troops in Korea, Japan, maybe he said Germany, but they are not engaged any combat. And as long as our troops are not engaged in combat in Iraq they will stay there. But as soon as they are attacked, are in combat--we will leave!!!! Hello all terrorists--did you hear that? This man is not well! He is an idiot.

You're right. It was a dumb question. There's really no other way for him to answer without coming across as rude.

she would make a good President, in the same way that Stalin made a good General Secretary

McCain is probably going to run. Maybe the H-Beast has plans for a VP slot in his administration.

While the choice is not unlike trying to choose between how to commit suicide, Hitlery would devastate this country...Kerry is too vain and self absorbed and a GOP Congress would just b*tch slap Edwards into submission.

LOL. Worth repeating.

McCain is probably going to run.

For what??

The Lamestream will pump this, but it's a snowball in hell. Take that to the bank.

He may run for vanity's sake, but a greater waste of time and resources, I cannot currently imagine

Yeah but if it comes down to the two of them we'll have no choice but to get in line and support McCain, the alternative would be unthinkable.

I won't be getting in line to support any man who announces to the Islamofascists that if they kill enough of our men we will back down.

Bill, you said ...and here's the kicker:...He will be on the GOP ticket, but he darn well might be the VP.

Respectfully, sir, I disagree.

McCain will certainly run (initially as a GOP) in the 2007 primaries, and I expect him to lose handily (the same blogosphere you are reading will be a big reason why.)

McCain is a well known spoiler, however. He'll either agree to run as Hillary Rodham's veep, (most likely scenario) or he'll clandestinely agree to run as a 3rd party spoiler.

Hillary will see to it that there will be a fallen Republican running as a 3rd party out of pure spite. Think Buchanon, McCain, many others. The list of potentials is pretty long.

Ironically, the Senator's current attempts to play the angles are highlighting to us just how untrustworthy, irrational, and unpresidential is the Honorable John McCain (R*)AZ.

Timmuh just about had an orgasm, burbling about a "fusion ticket."

What dirt. These three deserve each other. America, on the other hand, does not.

That's the real story about what was said by McCain.

But, McCain is detested by a large proportion of the Republican nominating electorate, and Her Heinousness is such a polarizing figure nationally that it is my belief that she will never win the Presidency, thank God.

Gore and Nadar combined got a majority of the vote in 2000. I don't share your belief that Hillary "will never win the Presidency".

"What are the idiots in AZ thinking?"

As for your brilliant comment, what do you suggest conservatives do with this guy? I haven't voted for him since 1992.

The Democrats run token opposition against him and he gets scads of their votes. His nose is up the establishment liberal Republican rears and he can do as he pleases.

This is a state that has a gay Republican in my district, and chased the last two conservative governors out of office on trumped up scandals. We launched a full scale attack on our gay RINO with a strong candidate and still got beat 60-40.

You wanna tell us how to get rid of McCain since you're so smart?

They were seated side by side and are bound by the customs of the senate to remain courteous. Any Senator would say the same about any other under the circumstances.
