AKA THE NORTHWEST VISITORS ENTRANCE
THE WHITE HOUSE, 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., NW, WASHINGTON, D.C.
(Washington) The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic, an independent grassroots organization, will be holding a demonstration at the White House this evening in support of former Talon News White House Correspondent Jeff Gannon and the rights of other reporters to do their jobs without fear of being destroyed by the political establishment.
The group will also be bringing attention to several First Amendment-related issues pertaining to the current imbroglio. Among them are the unconstitutional efforts of Democratic congressmen to determine who is a reporter and efforts by the establishment media to shut out Internet-based news sites from having access to government press conferences.
Kristinn Taylor, Co-Leader of the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic, issued the following statement: “It is common knowledge that Jeff Gannon was singled out for personal destruction for the crime of asking a question of the President of the United States at a press conference that was insulting to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.
“The Clintonista slime machine, led by former Clinton White House Chief of Staff John Podesta’s Media Matters for America, went into high gear and made an example of Mr. Gannon to any reporter who might dare to challenge Sen. Clinton’s credibility in her anticipated 2008 presidential candidacy.
“What was done to Mr. Gannon was the Clinton impeachement era Ellen Romesch strategy played out for all concerned parties to see. The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic will be out demonstrating for the rights of Mr. Gannon and all other reporters to exercise their rights without fear of personal destruction.”
I see a difference between whether a reporter is privately gay and one (male or female) who is advertising their body for sale online - and then leaves the press corps on their own when people talk about their public website.

I tried following some of the links from DU and got nothing except claims of finding pictures that no one else has seen. It seems to me that if such pictures really existed, the blogger would have posted them or at least a link to the pictures on his web site.
I'm wondering what's going on because DUers were feverishly using all kinds of search engines to find dirt on Gannon and came up with an AOL homepage pic with no qualifiers and NOTHING else but closed porn websites. This was when all this first broke. Then, lo and behold, americanblog finds stuff that's so easy to find? Truly curious.
Why do I suspect that you never would have supported him in the first place, teenager or not? Why would you consider discussing him with your teenager in the first place? Are you homophobic?

What's even better is when someone posts a pic purportedly of Gannon, and it shows no identifying information as the face is not visible.

Ok. Maybe Scott McLellan picking Gannon out during a press conference and using his assumed name "Jeff" isn't precisely "favorable treatment", but it doesn't give the appearance of unfamiliarity or random reporter selection either.
I don't care to support this guy. He hasn't offered any substantive defense of himself, and I don't like the way this sordid little story is developing.

If the journalist imposter had come from a source at the other end of the political spectrum this site would be raging at the audacity and arrogance of the conduct. This guy is the analogy to an episode of enormous and recurrent flatulance by a church visitor.

The Democrat attacks on Jeff Gannon should be considered a hate crime. That's what they would say if the situation was reversed.
The links are out there, believe me, you really don't want to visit them unless you want to know all there is to know about Gannon.

If you read my post 164...I think he was looked into because he was asking friendly questions from a random publication. I think from there....(Jeff Gannon used to brag about getting under the skin of the MSM press corps. He practically begged them to come after him)......people started to look into him, his past credentials, etc. from there, it snowballed, and as more and more people looked, more information came out. Interviews with people who made the 'porn sites', etc.
You want my opinion on JG. I think he wanted to be outed. It is like Hugh Grant picking up a streetwalker. These people want to get caught. They could be discreet. Jeff certainly knew his past, why taunt people into looking more into it?
Agreed. A little off topic but have you noticed the inordinate number of trolls on Gannon threads? The left is practically foaming at the mouth over a small time reporter. Geesh! They don't get it.......it ain't watergate.
Not a good idea. They're aren't that difficult to find, but I really don't think we need links to that stuff posted on this board.
