What a shame and embarrassment she is to a man of high character and honor, she was brought up to know the truth, and only the truth will set her free. She can't love her parents that much or she would have stayed in the closet.

Of course, Keyes shows just how much he loves his daughter as he kicks her out of the house.
Keyes is a good man, and I'm sure his daughter is not honoring her upbringing.

She's gay, it happens. She loves her parents, which says a lot for her considering how they treat her. She's not a shame nor an embarassment. If she finds a good woman to "bond with" monogomously, or whatever, then more power to her. There are plenty of things far worse than being gay. You can be a straight alcoholic. Or a straight wife-beater. Or a straight rapist. The prisons are full of perfectly straight ACTUAL embarassments to parents everywhere.
What a shame and embarrassment to hate your daughter's sinful lifestyle so much that you project your hatred toward her by cutting off communciation with her. Maybe her moral failings are a result of Keyes' failings as a father.
