You're assuming the daghter is giving an unbiased view oif the situation. That could be a false judgment on your part.

Sinky, you are confusing love with approval. A parent who loves his or her child has no obligation to support that adult child's lifestyle decisions. If Mr. Keyes' daughter "came out" as a alcoholic, wold he have the obligation to finance her alcoholic lifestyle? How about if she were a pornographer? A bestialist? A polygamist?
I say no. True love has absolutely nothing to do with being nice or making people happy. True love means doing the right thing, not the thing that feels right.

Revelling in another's downfall, eh sink? Does it really give that much pleasure to watch a man suffer the corruption of his child?

Sinkspur - Sometimes those we love hurt us the most.
If parents withhold blessings from a child who has gone astray, does that mean that the parents no longer love the child?
Is it wrong for parents to withhold blessings from a daughter who has fallen into a detestable lifestyle?
