A liberal - To the Republican community.
1. What are your goals as Republicans?
2. Is your goal to make Liberals to leave America?
3. If you want us to stay, when does this country go too far to the right?
4. If you want us to leave, will the US government pay for our plane tickets?
I'm not trying to troll I'm asking a legit question. What is the conservative viewpoint on living wages? If you want more information on it look here http://livingwagecampaign.org/
If both sides could support something like this then you can get rid of social programs because people won't need them.
If you don't live beyond your means, then the "Living Wage" is a moot issue. ACORN is full of crap. No need to peddle that junk around here.
Answer the questions if you can.
Holding place.
if you want to leave...leave. What a wonderful world it would be.
No, you and you alone will pay for your own ticket. Typical that you would ask the government for a hand out though.
Buh, buh now...don't let the door hit you in the A___ on your way out. Oh and by the way, where ya gonna go? Better make it someplace safe where you know you can spew your venom.
Did you know we even existed during the Clinton years?
Payback's a mother huh?
The fact that you would not allow the market to determine wages, you are for wage controls, won't get you support at FR. No.I'm not for wage controls. This would come from where? You offer an olive branch by opposing welfare, but of course you want people to work in Utopia, where else do you get "stuff?" The fact is you wish to prop up wages through confiscation. If you had an economic background, you'd understand that over regulation in the economy, social programs and giveaways are the source of depressed wages.
Again this goes back to my original questions of you being picked on at a young age. You feel you should be entitled, and through lack of intelligence, feel that by "sharing the wealth" looted from the "rich" that you may appease conservatives. You have failed in so many ways.
No I do not favor welfare. I favor work. WHy would someone want to live off welfare?! I don't know why conservatives think people would want to live like that, its like slavery.
I'm not for wage controls, I'm just giving you some ideas. There are ways to control wages through the market as well. You see we the workers can influence our wages by simply refusing to work for companies which pay low wages and by refusing to by from them. The problem is the majority of my peers are idiots and shop at places because its cheap instead of based on how these places treat their labor force.
I'm a Democrat as in power to the individual worker over the corporation. I'm not a liberal in that I don't actually favor welfare, abortion, or however you are defining liberal. I'm a social liberal in that I think minorities and women arent being treated fairly.
I don't feel entitled to share the wealth with the rich, I feel like taking my share of the wealth. I don't expect it to be given. This means boycotting companies which treat workers like crap, which outsource and cause America to lose its best jobs, and by working for businesses which do treat workers right.
The market can be controlled by the consumers as well as by the employer, and as consumers gather more data on how companies are run, who is running them and how to influence them then through will alone wages will be made higher. Take Walmart for example, which pays employees low wages, instead of buying from Walmart we could boycott Walmart along with a list of companies which treat workers bad. Communities could refuse to allow Walmart to expand in favor of companies which benefit the local community.
Salaries and wages influence how consumers view a company, at least educated consumers. I'm not concerned with the style of regulation. Either the government will regulate the economy or the people will.
Instead of focusing on the method as to which we raise wages, lets discuss the conservative ways of raising wages. This may mean employees rating their boss, company, and environment and creating a do not shop at list or a do not buy list. While not all communities will do this, the communities which refuse to buy from companies which arent socially responsible won't have those businesses in their community.
I'd like you comments on my new ideas and I'd like to hear some ideas of your own on how workers can actually earn an honest living.
Who isn't anti-corruption? Just don't confuse that with anti-corporation.
When it comes to America FIRST, there are plenty of corporations that sellout against America's conservative ideals. Conservatives boycott too. What you are talking about is more what UNIONS do. The unions are dead (in current form) in the era of globalization. The fail because they are corrupt. Reforming Unions based on collective bargaining may what you are looking for. But again you will have to realize the situation America is in has been caused in large part by the UNIONS.
Wonder why America can't compete in the global economy? Because the UNIONS demand that a worker "earn" twenty bucks an hour that should cost ten dollars an hour. The company either fails or ships overseas....Guess what? You may be disheartened to find out America is going have to lower her standard of living.
Well then we have found common ground. Progressives arent anti corporations, we are for forcing corporations to be socially responsible. If conservatives are willing to help with this then both sides can punish corporations which exploit all of us, conservatives, liberals, etc.
The only reason companies like Walmart can go around taking advantage of us is because progressives and conservatives fight on culture instead of looking for mutual solutions.
I'm not talking about what unions do. Unions were fine for the past but what I'm thinking about now is conservatives and progressives coming together behind a goal. Such as the goal of forcing corporations to be personally responsible for their actions just as individuals are. If conservatives promote personal responsibility, and corporations are deemed personhood, why not demand corporations take personal responsibility?
Don't think I'm anti corporation, because a corporation which hires me and treats me right, I'll work for that corporation. I'm not anti corporation, I'm not concerned with how I survive as long as there is a clear path and method which allows me and every other American who works hard to survive. I'm for closing the borders because it actually helps Walmart keep wages low.
Now, your comment about corporations moving overseas, GOOD. I hope Walmart moves overseas and stays overseas. If you think we should have a lower standard of living, how can you say you are pro America? How can we remain the greatest country on earth if we don't keep or wages high and our economy strong?
If you really want us to compete globally, without consumers fighting for wage increases, then we need a global currency, a global government force to fight corporate corruption, and we need to provide Americans with every advantage we can over the global competition. What are some conservative ideas for doing this? I see you are listening to my ideas but I'd like to hear some of yours.
Boy I give an inch, you take a mile! Just forget FR, crank up the Lennon on your iPod and please don't vote. Take your one world philosophy and shove it. I gave you a chance, and you blew it. The mods were wrong you are worth Zotting.
So instead of responding to my ideas and debating, you actually want to censor me?
IF I'm wrong then tell me what the conservative ideas are. If you have no ideas then why censor me for having some?
It's your choice. If you only want extreme conservatives on this site its up to you. I'd willingly leave the site if enough people ask me to, no need to ban.
C'mon! You think strengthening America is by surrendering sovereignty to a World Govermnet. Why argue? Your brain is more corrupt than WalMart...and I don't like WalMart.
Censor? Think of it as "putting a sock in it!"
I never said that. But how exactly can you have a global economy with no rules? We at LEAST need one currency. We most likely need a standard or official language. And who is going to put this stuff in place if not a global government force?
Do you want to be forced to convert your money into the Euro or any other currency if the Dollar or US economy begins to suffer? Do we really need hundreds of currencies? How can you stop corporate corruption on a global scale with no government body? What about the liberal media? do you want no way to regulate communists who will go on TV and promote welfare?
I don't know. I just don't see how you can have a global economy with no rules. If there are rules to the free market let me know. Anyway I'm done posting now. You don't want my input. If you want to debate more just send me a private email or message.
I'll just finish your theory. If the USA surrenders sovereignty to a supranational authority (Let's say the UN) we can further erode America by just merging our economy with other nations into regional blocks like NAFTA and the FTAA. We can them merge all the blocks into a world economy with one currency. We can eliminate war by preventing one nation to spend money (since we are all one) on war material. We can then erase the borders! We can have a WORLD PARLAMENT, WORLD ARMY and a WORLD ECONOMY all run from the top. And you talk about getting screwed now by a few?
I call you a dreamer,
and I hope you are the only one.
They only way you want peace,
is ultimately at the barrel of a gun
So America should become an empire?
Only if you're advocating a New World Order/One World Government, like the United Nations and European Union. Since you are a Liberal, I'm sure that is what you were referring to.
Too-dumb-to-zot ping.
Is that Ft. Benning?
