Posted on 02/13/2005 2:00:25 AM PST by The_Liberal Person

A liberal - To the Republican community.

1. What are your goals as Republicans?

2. Is your goal to make Liberals to leave America?

3. If you want us to stay, when does this country go too far to the right?

4. If you want us to leave, will the US government pay for our plane tickets?

We'll listen when there is a rational argument.

Agreed. I, personally, don't "hate" liberals, I just disregard them completely because they generally have the emotional and intellectual maturity of an American pre-teen. Evidence the statement, "Republicans hate liberals." They confuse reason with emotion. They think middle-school behavior is a life skill.

I'll listen when they grow up.

"Ah just like them liberals, get out and stay out!" type of responses.

It use to be mostly about "Ideas" with morale compass. Liberals for the most part have abondoned "Morale Values and Any Judgements." America ceases to exist without an acknowledgement of GOD.

You can't expect the oppotition to value or respect your veiws when the dems (for the most part) have abandoned the very idealic foundation of the country. And most of all try to tear the fabric of tradition on which it was founded.

Conservatives don't want another socialistic anything goes Europe, we want America!!

2. Is your goal to make Liberals to leave America?
NO! But I'd be happy to see it happen.

3. If you want us to stay, when does this country go too far to the right?
The country isn't shifting to the right. The premise of the question is flawed. Measured against our society a generation ago, we're no more conservative in any area than we were then...but we're one hell of a lot more liberal.

4. If you want us to leave, will the US government pay for our plane tickets?
I'd advocate for the government to pay for air fare for any liberal who wanted to leave, as long as each person who accepted that did so under the condition that they renounce their US citizenship, agree to never return.

Direct Hit Egon! Another great post.

I would only add that Liberals want to (or need to) dispatch the Individual. It is the Individual that is most dangerous to the the survival of Liberalism.

1. Not a republican, but goals would be to get this country back to a Constitutional (read "strict interpretation"), federated REPUBLIC, which provides for the common defense, gives me liberty, allows me to pursue happiness (but doesn't deliver it like a Domino's Pizza), and abandons the class warfare you lefties hold so dear. I also want to eliminate such "girly man" words as "closure", "homophobia", "sexism", etc. from political discourse.

2. No, although that might be a really neat by-product. I would prefer to see the "herd" diminish through self education and maturation, with perhaps a breeding pair or two for each of the nation's major zoological parks (where instead of food pellets, you could throw them copies of the "New York Times").

3. When the voters say it has. I realize that is a concept no true liberal can either understand, or support, but that was the plan when they founded this place. You could look it up!

4. No. But I'd be willing to organize a telethon to raise money for indigent liberals (if indigence is proved. Or, you could put the arm on your fellow liberals, you know, Babs, Clooney, Baldwin . One caveat, to paraphrase the Mafia, "Once out, never in". When you're gone, you're gone. You renounce your citizenship, waive any bennies you might be entitled to here and you just GO!. For those who need financial support to leave, you will have a choice of the following destinations to start your life of liberal fulfillment: Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Libya. If you want to walk, try Canada.

Go back through all the liberal rhetoric. You will find that your gurus, the celebrity element, were the ones that instigated the idea of leaving the US because they didn't get their way. When nobody seemed to want to stop them from leaving, their infantile threats ceased. Now here you are, suggesting that the conservatives want the liberals to leave. This is so very typical. Twist the truth so that the conservatives somehow are blamed. As far as I know, nobody wants anybody to leave our great country as long as they are working towards keeping the USA the great country it is. IMO, the current sad state of community in the US is due to liberalism. The system has been pc'd to the extreme. Now "Johnnie" believes he can shoot his teacher if he/she tries any classroom discipline. "Johnnie" also believes he can shoot his parents, grandparents, friends, classmates and whoever else he perceives has wronged him because, darn it, that's his right. Free love? You betcha! Just check out the latest stats on unwed pregnancies...it was made socially acceptable because of liberal thinking and now look, we all have the pleasure of helping to support these broken families. Yes, I can hear you now. Abortion, the cure-all.
Let's forget the moral issues on this; I don't feel like beating my head against a brick wall so early in the morning. But from what I have read, undergoing an abortion is not a run-by-the-clinic sort of procedure. The mental pain apparently stays long after the physical pain leaves.
But heck, if you don't see it, it doesn't exist, does it?
I was raised in the 50's and 60's. I have seen the streets of our beloved USA change from a child being able to walk and play anywhere safely (I was one of them)to having to be constantly monitored and chaperoned lest he/she is grabbed, sodomized and murdered. So please don't ask what the conservative faction wants. It should be obvious. One last note, no point was made by asking if conservatives will pay for your tickets. That question/suggestion has already been played too long and has lost its impact.

I'll respond, but most of the responses were liberal hate posts about how the right can't wait for us to leave.

There you go with a typical liberal response.

Republicans do not 'hate' liberals. We disagree with the direction in which they would lead the country, and try to engage them in a dialog.

On the other hand many liberals shout out their hatred of Republicans from the rooftops. Just look at the published language of Michael Moore and his ilk, as well as that of the new chairman of the DNC.

Hatred is a liberal value and is one of the reasons you find so many of your brethren who would post here being banned. They show up, spout hate and then run. They do not want dialog, they want to shout down disagreement and have their 'feelings' become law.

I'm not saying liberals don't have their extremes, but Republicans basically run the entire government now. So why as many Republicans still agree?

I don't find that Republican's are that angry. They are certainly not angry like they were during the Clinton years. I feel a lot of the anger you are seeing is a case of projection. Most of the anger I witness is within the Left wing itself.

For an example look at Howard Dean the new DNC chair. This man admits openly that he hates Republicans. Where have the days gone where ones opposition as seen as just that the opposition not as evil incarnate? Do you feel that the rhetoric from Howard Dean and Jesse Jackson is calming and reasonable? How about Ted Kennedy when he made inflammatory statements concerning the Iraqi's not dieing for their freedom. He totally over looks the horrendous death toll among Iraqi police offices and soldiers. How fast do they have to die to make Ted Kennedy happy? Do you consider this calm and reasonable discourse? I hear things like that and think that their main mission is to keep their followers worked up to a fevered pitch of angry and hatred toward the Right.

Let's look at the Dems take on Social Security. It does not matter that everyone know Social Security needs help. It does not matter President Clinton and Al Gore both spoke of the need for Social Security reform for years. Now the Dem line is nothing is wrong with Social Security. They dislike President Bush so much they are unwilling to even try to form a plan of their own to help save Social Security. Social Security reform does not have to be President Bush's plan but the Dems have decided that the best thing is to not even enter into the process. Is this good for the country? Does this give SS to all of us under 50? No but it sure gives the Dems something to make their people angry about. They can talk about the evils of Republican's while they fail to do their job which is to lead. They are then baffled why people do not want to elect them.

The Left offerers nothing but negativity and is surprised when all they get is negativity in return. It is sort of a self fulfilling prophecy. I read Left wing bulletin board. I know what is being said and I can tell you for a fact THERE IS NOT ONE STATEMAN AMOUNG YOUR RANKS. As long as they can baffle their followers with the myth that every election has been stolen from them they can keep them blind to the reality that their leaders are not leading. Sadly for the Dems most people can see that it is a case of the Emperor has no clothes and are not fooled

It's a real be-ach when you no longer control what people get to see or read. I know it's a shock, but they are holding meetings of people who suffer from post-election depression in the state of Florida, and the weather is nice.

Liberal person, your question is intriguing enough, this will be my first ever post to FR.

I'd like to say it's entirely possible your questions are actually sincere, which means two things:

1) Your are projecting (try to believe this).

Liberals really do seem to be motivated by a reflexive opposition to anything conservative. The motivation is not mutual. Individuals who do not self identify as liberals, are motivated by a range of things - striving for excellence, doing good, being successful - personal motivators, none of which really pertains to worrying about liberals. No offense.

2) You might be surprized.

The fact you're confident enough to come on a board such as this to dialog, if sincere, is a really cool thing. Listen to what your inner voice tells you as you read some of your responses. You might find that voice leads you to some interesting conclusions.

Retardo Montalban was it...? Our goal is return a sense of justice and accountability to our nation you moron. Make people get up off their inflated backsides and do for themselves, rather than depending on their nanny to care for their every need.

a. To prevent the destruction of the Constitution of the United States by liberal judges. b. To oppose the normalization of the gay lifestyle.

I most humbly submit that you do not get it. Republicans aren't defined by what we are against, but rather on the proactive policies we support. In a nutshell we stand for a better, stronger, safer, more prosperous America, for all Americans, even homosexuals. We're a pretty neat bunch.

First of all, I'm not a Republican. Your first mistake.

Second mistake. I get it, big time. And you can take that to the bank.

And I don't need any flower power, hippy speak for me. You can express your opinion in these forums and I shall do the same. I won't speak for you and don't you be so presumptious as to speak for me.

Your sensitivity to the homosexual lifestyle tells me all I need to know about you.
