EASON JORDAN JUST RESIGNED
Top CNN exec resigning over Davos remarks By Carolyn Pritchard CBS MarketWatch Last Updated: 6:40 PM ET Feb 11, 2005 SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- CNN's top news executive, Eason Jordan, said Friday he's resigning amid controversy over his assertion that journalists were targeted and killed by coaltion forces in Iraq. "After 23 years at CNN, I have decided to resign in an effort to prevent CNN from being unfairly tarnished by the controversy over conflicting accounts of my recent remarks regarding the alarming number of journalists killed in Iraq," he said in a note to CNN staff. CNN is a unit of Time Warner (TWX: News, Quote) .

Yep, it's me. I've been hanging around here for about two years before I was blogging...
Thanks for the ping, Howlin---
BTW, I just heard on Chrissy Matthews show, that Tucker Carlson is taking Deborah Norville's time slot---oh, yeah, another squishy "conservative", like Joe Scarborough---
Someone tell me how their shows will be different?
Eason Jordan, is he the same one that "outed" CNN for making nice-nice with Saddam so that CNN would have the run of Iraq?
I also give Stalin grudging respect for his organizational skills. ;^)
I'm sure they waited until Friday to make sure everyone would be home to hear the news. Oh wait, they waited to avoid the normal news cycle.
I wonder if the military can sue for libel. They could take CNN out permanently by taking all the cash they have.
Jordan: "I can ride this out. It is not a big deal"
CNN: "We will give you the option to say that you "resigned". Clean out your desk...and be out of here by lunch"
One and the same.
470 posts while I go out to dinner! Can you or somebody please quickly bring me up to speed as I start wading through it??
Did he really resign? Thanks in advance.
Strangely enough, Fox News hasn't covered it yet either. O'Reilly and the Fox Report before him have strictly formatted shows; they miss a lot of breaking news.

It's Bigger than Jordan
I loved this explanation of how the media gets a mindset..
That's pushing it, it's grades they are manipulating.
It is true, so you don't have to go back through the entire thread. :)
It just makes a guy feel like we're taking back our country from the hate-America lefties. Hoo-ray!
The media herd is stunned. They don't know what to do next.
Lets not forget, simply because we've nailed Eason for his slander, that Eason's #2 man at CNN also claimed that our British SAS allies were "worse than the terrorists."
CNN: The most BUSTED name in news.
