A new, highly resistant strain of HIV that appears to develop rapidly into AIDS has been diagnosed in a New Yorker who had not previously undergone antiviral drug treatment, says the city health department, which is holding a press conference today.
While drug resistance is increasingly common in people who have been treated for the human immunodeficiency virus, city officials called the case extremely rare. The patient, who now has AIDS, is a male in his mid-40s who reported multiple male sex partners and unprotected anal intercourse, often while using crystal methamphetamine. The patient appears to have developed AIDS within two to three months of HIV infection, and at the most 20 months. People who contract AIDS usually get it more than 10 years after initial infection with HIV.

You're talking about a sub-culture where it's not unusual to screw several strangers per week I just read an old article by Hrowitz that said in the San Fran bathhouses, parks, back rooms at bookstores, etc. TEN a NIGHT was pretty standard. Ten strangers a night.

A violated nature just keeps rolling on! I hope the bug does not mutate into a form that can infect the innocent.

"while they scream if I take off my F@#$%^g motorcycle helmet or drive my Ford Explorer."Oh fer cryin out loud. No one gives a damn if you wear your precious helmet or drive a Ford explorer. You can drive whatever you like as long as you obey the traffic laws and can afford the car payments. Stop making everything you own a political issue.

"Science has never cured a virus. We can only suppress the symptoms. In the end the virus always finds a way to survive."
Did we not wipe out the smallpox virus? It was never cured as such (no way to cure it once a person had it), but it was wiped out entirely by worldwide vaccination, wasn't it?

Our AIDS acronym was: Anally Injected Death Sentence In the US Navy in the late 80's the acronym was America's Ideal Death Sentence.
And Gay stood for Got AIDS Yet?

"New resistant strain of HIV diagnosed in New Yorker (full blown AIDS in 3 months)" Rom 1:26 For this reason, God gave them over to degrading passions. Even their females exchanged their natural sexual function for one that is unnatural. Rom 1:27 In the same way, their males also abandoned the natural sexual function of females and burned with lust for one another.Males committed indecent acts with males, and received in themselves the appropriate penalty for their perversion.
Sounds like AIDS to me.

Really, this advice is a classic display of lack of judgment. AIDS isn't spread by recreational drug use, or dull judgment.
Bureaucrats insure their job security this way.

Isn't it that we have the ability to give immunity? however, if the virus mutates you may not be protected from the new strain. Polio is still in Africa and other portions of the world. We have gained an immunity through the vaccine but the virus still exists. I am not an expert in this field by no means, but, we are having problems with the over prescription of antibiotics. It seems the bugs are gaining immunity to some of our medicines.

Back in the 80's when people weren't always looking to be offended. The military was very un-PC back then and speaking to a soldier would keep you in stitches for hours.
