Deep Throat Close to Death It appears the Watergate source known as "Deep Throat" may be close to death, and that means that individuals name may be made public for the first time.

Reporter Bob Woodward has said in the past that he would disclose the identity of the course when that person died. Deep Throat helped Woodward and the Washington POst expose the Nixon Water gate scandal.

The Washington Post has already prepared an obituary, which means the world may soon know the secret Woodward has managed to keep for 30-years.

It was repulsive to see Bush 41 standing next to clinton at the beginning of the game. There was the Bush, shot down during WWII, standing next to the draft dodger as the War heros were being honored. Clinton did NOT belong there.

Ford has been sick, I think he is 92 or 93 but he did not become VP until June or July of 74.

Nixon was already toast by the time Ford became VP.

"Deep Throat" is a Fig Newyon of W&B's imagination. DT was concocted to divert attention from those that needed it and to add suspense and credibility to W&B's story. Ir was also the "hook" that got a lot of people to pay attention - those that otherwise wouldn't.

Any ol'convenient corpse can be Deep Throat. This was probably cooked up when Johnny carson died.

Nixon was one of my favorite presidents too. But they had to be getting inside information from somebody, they just knew too much. Didn't Nixon's secretary just die recently ?
