Yesterday's WPost offered a great front-page shot of Washington DC's National Zoo's latest addition -- cubs.
So, we headed over and took a few of our own photos. Check out http://community.webshots.com/album/267779016eIxpoI
The pandas were absolutely wonderful!
Wow, it must have been an uncommonly warm day for D.C. for these guys to be out and about like that.
Check out the really cute Cheetah Cubs at the National Zoo on their webcam. May have to scroll down a little.
Did I mention they LOCKED ME IN the zoo during my recent visit!!!
Why? Did they mistake you for one of the exhibits? ;-)
Haha! No it was snowing and they closed the zoo....but didn't bother to inform us patrons! And it seems very few employees possess a key to the front gate!
What's funny is, I work at a zoo and I would have no problem letting people out!
Yes. On Sat it was in the upper 50s. It was that window of opp that couldn't be resisted. Still warm this week -- but expected to dip back into the 40s on Thurs. Glad you enjoyed.
I expect you'll be getting the cold front that has come through Oklahoma recently. It's kept us in the mid to upper 30's all week. Don't mean to be the bearer (haha) of bad news, but just to let you be prepared.
Funny you should write that... as of yesterday evening, temps have dipped and the skies have darkened. The climate shifts are extraodinary.
