Shouldn't we all give thanks to those who were instrumental in North Korea's new found belligerence,

Thank You Jimmah

Thank You Bubba

Thank you Maddie

With Mac came Almond, a miserable failure. Doubt if the Chinese are interested in another war on the peninsula right now. Kim Jong Il is on his way out.

Well who knows. We will have to face China sooner or later. For some unknown reason that want Taiwan, an island nation with absolutly no strategic or tactical importance to them. There is also the Malacaa Strait too.

Approxmations: Army 450,000; Navy, 350,000; Marines, 200,000; Air Force, 350,000 = 1,350,000 military.

That's not counting the reserves and NG for Army, Navy, Air Force.

Nor is it countin the Coast Guard.

Where is MacAuthur when you need him?

Most overrated general in American military history. Good riddance.

The U.S. could turn that place into molten slag and I doubt Kim Dung Ill is insane enough to take the gamble.

Anyone who thinks that PRC would sit still while the US uses nuclear weapons at its doorstep is not thinking past square one.

I agree we might not need so many troops. Don't forget that we really need those Bunker Buster Bombs. From what I've been reading over the years North Korea has tunnel systems that make the ones in Vietnam look like stone age caves. God Bless All our Troops. If it comes to this I want them to get all the support they need. They will be getting all I can give them.

Thanks xzins... this is good to know. I wish we had triple the number at least, though I understand technology has reduced boots by some degree...

IF we had that many troops to send we'd probably have to pull them from other countries around the world. I have a hard time believing that we would do that. A couple of nukes would be a great attitude adjuster for little Kimmy.

Well we could also flatten the PRC too. 20 ICBMs versus 7,000 ICBMs makes for a very one sided nuclear exhange.

Yeah, I'm sure that's the plan.

There aren't that many troops to deploy.
Sounds like a goofy article.

Any use of nukes by the US in N Korea would be with prior approval of the PRC. It would be a last resort if the Chinese Army is somehow destroyed on the way to N Korea.
